The VeST (Veteran Sports Talk)

With being at NCOA for the Air Force at McGhee Tyson, I met a fellow classmate that loved sports and we discussed the NFL Playoffs, feel good stories of the year, biggest surprise and how we feel the Super Bowl will unfold. 

Also discussed the Taylor Swift effect in football and sports, the conspiracy of the Super Bowl logo colors, and a little about the upcoming NFL Draft. 

Who do you think will win the Super Bowl? What are your thoughts on what the Bears should do with the first overall pick? 

With Deion Sanders out of the lime light Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have taken over the sports world! Swifties around the world are now learning what football is and it can't be a better time for the guys cause now their girls are interested! Thank you Travis! College football finally had some meaningful games and now we get another lull until mid October. Several games this week peaked our interest and we recapped some of the highlights from this past weekend.

Senior Master Sergeant Darryl Hill joins me to discuss the surprises from Week 3, some key questions in the national media, and the games of the week. We also talk about what SMSgt Hill brings back to our Airmen through inclusive Battlefields and his book that was just published  Meaningful Conversations, People Want to Talk.

We’re recording this week from Germany as we are away on work and away from the studio. It’s been a fun week working with our brothers and sisters but I’m ready to return home and get back to football at night and recording with our guests.

Ryan Phares joined me talking about the ACC and Florida State and their big win over LSU this past Sunday. We also talked about the Friday Night game between Kansas and Illinois. We dove into what's going on in Clemson and some other areas.

We dive into the SEC expansion and the future of SEC schedules,  questions regarding the QB position at their schools, and the games of the week!

With the NFL Draft right around the corner let's take a look at how it could shake out tomorrow evening!

Sgt Joshua Hansen, a decorated US Army Veteran who earned a Bronze Star and Purple Heart while serving. He had a hard time adjusting to civilian life after losing several members in combat and several more to suicide. He found peace and purpose while restoring his "drive" when he reached out to Peter Cline at VETMotorsports. Joshua was able to get into Autocross and currently runs a Dodge Challenger in the CAM-C division in the Utah SCCA. 

On this episode of "The VeST", I was able to speak with Chantel Fucci about her new endeavor into racing cars with the help of VETMotorspors, Frank Schwartz with Grass Paddock Motorsports and CorgiSport Revision. We discussed how getting behind the wheel has helped her keep her mind sharp and improve her mental health.

I had the privilege to talk with Tania Perez, a veteran of the US Air Force. She is now working towards her Licensed Professional Counselor. While providing mental health options, she also is an adjunct lecturer of lifespan human development at the Baptist University of the Americas. She also provides personal training to members looking to get back into the gym. Listen to her story during this episode!

With Daylight Savings time here the clocks fell back an hour but so did many teams inside the Top 25. What also fell was their Playoff hopes and dreams. I thought Halloween was last week? This weekend seems like a nightmare scenario for many and going to give the Playoff Committee a nightmare this week ranking the teams!
