I love the Castlevania series (the N64 games don't count), so I decided to compile my personal preferences of what are my favorite Castlevania games.

Yes, it's a late one, but I think it's still entertaining to examine all these random Halloween-centered games.

I love the SNES, and the JRPGs are a big reason why. I focused only on games that had an official North American release, since I'm not yet fluent enough in Japanese to play fan favorites like Bahamut Lagoon.

Another 2-for-1 special! After my short analysis of the unplayable Who Framed Roger Rabbit for the Game Boy, I look at a *gasp* Resident Evil game! Resident Evil: Survivor was Capcom's answer to Sega's successful House of the Dead franchise, but playing this game only made Resident Evil fans feel dead inside, as it's one of the worst games I've ever played.

Do I really even need to say anything? Mega Man Soccer? Who thought this was a good, money-making idea? How could Capcom do this to Mega Man? Well, judging from the last three years, one could guess that this game foreshadowed the mistreatment of Capcom's greatest franchise.

G.I. Joe, on paper, seems like a property that would be so difficult to screw up. Well, Hollywood wasn't the only one to butcher the license. Take a look at the pseudo-sequel that Capcom hilariously attempted.

This episode focuses on the failed mascot-driven NES game, "Yo Noid." As a bonus, I also throw in a little tidbit known as "Fighting Street." Can you guess what series that this gem inspired?

The Top Five Games! This list is almost interchangeable, as I love all the games listed here. Please let me know your top Sega games! Also, if I ever get the resources, I'll try to do a top Sega CD list. 32X only has two good games, however, so don't expect to see a list honoring that piece of crap.

Part 4 of 5! Getting to the homestretch. While the top 25 wasn't too difficult overall, I did agonize over this top 10 list. I had to replay several of these games just to make sure that they held up well enough to be on this list (and they do!). If you can only play a few Genesis games, choose some of these top 10 gems. I promise that you won't be disappointed.

Episode 3 of 5. I know that some of the games listed here may be considered either "too high" or "too low" for many hardcore Sega fanatics, but I would love to hear arguments both for and against my game rankings. I find debate to be both fun and informational.

This is a special five-part episode where I go over my top 25 Sega Genesis games of all time. I felt that I should start with Sega specifically, since this is supposed to be a video game podcast, and not an audio love letter to Nintendo's history and game library. I list the games backwards, starting here with #25. I also did this in episodic format to see what kind of traffic it generates compared to a single list in one podcast. Not all video games are fun and entertaining. Some are broken, glitch-filled, borderline-torture inducing piles of shit! These are my five most hated games, mainly because of my personal interactions with these games. As with any list criteria, I won't include video games on any list unless I've had enough extensive playtime to justify it's placement. For example, Action 52 for the NES is considered by many to be the worst video game of all time, but it's not on my list because I've (thankfullY) never played the game, at least not in cartridge form. I played the rom as a curiosity, and I'm still getting weekly therapy for it. But there's a difference between tasting shit and eating shit, so please, enjoy this painful rant of mine.
