This episode of The Water Sifu is going to talk about water distribution sytems, giving you a brief overview of how the whole process works. We're going to talk about sources of supply, and how water gets from that source to your tap. We're also going to talk about different types of system designs, system storage, system pressure, and how water systems work in areas of different elevations.
This episode of The Water Sifu will discuss an overview of the entire water treatment process, with a concentration on conventional treatment. We will walk through the entire process, from raw water when it first begins it's travels to the plant, to treated water ready for drinking.
This episode will dive into Water Treatment / Distribution Operator Certification, with an emphasis on California. Topics covered will include why you need certification, how to get it, and everything involved along the way. We will discuss the requirements for each level, as well as exam requirements, specialized training needed, certification exams, and continuing education. We will also discuss certification reciprocity with regard to moving to another state.
This first episode of The Water Sifu will introduce you to myself and how I ended up behind the mic. I will also discuss the potable water industry, jobs in that industry, and why it is such a great industry to be working in.
