The Wheel Life

You ever see a person in a wheelchair and get the urge to tell them to stand up? You ever see a blind person and want to go “think fast” as you toss them something? You ever want to take a person with epilepsy to a rave while showing them a banned Pokémon episode? If you answered no to all of these questions than that means you’re a better person than me! Kidding! Obviously, but you’d be surprised how often it may happen. If you like funny real life stories, disability empowerment, or just want to laugh at the misfortune of little old me and a substitute teacher join me in my first mini episode The Wheel Life: Handicap Parking- I (Can’t) Stand for America. 

I know it’s been a while but I’m happy to say welcome back to my life, The Wheel Life. I know for those of you who followed the show for the first few episodes have been wondering where I’ve gone and will probably have questions about what I’ve been up to, ESPECIALLY after the first few minutes of this episode. All I can say is bear with me as I slowly breathe new life into this podcast. Until then enjoy this episode where I talk about relationship building for the disabled, my experiences with it, my points of view, and share a few tips along the way. Welcome back to my life, The Wheel Life. This may come as a shocker to many of you, but it's time I come clean. I'm disabled and proud! In honor of SMA Awareness Month I decided to share my journey with it. From diagnosis to where it's brought me. You'll hear about some dark moments in my past and how the lives of those around me helped me grow stronger. Don't worry there are fun facts along the way. This is an extremely personal story with sensitive topics discussed so if you're prone to triggers I recommend caution or choose to skip this one. I promise you will not hurt my feelings.
