What does it mean to be "Religious"?  Being "Religious" has its stigmas and often it's associated with overbearing rules that prioritize legalism over love.  Many believe that Love is the highest virtue to uphold. A significant number of individuals inherit their religious beliefs from their parents, and this often leads to children diverging from those beliefs. This divergence can be attributed, in part, to parents imparting what to believe rather than providing a deeper understanding of the reasons behind those beliefs.

Throughout history, numerous individuals have professed to follow Jesus, but diverse perspectives on his identity have emerged. While some regard him as a mere prophet, others view him as a mere mortal, and some assert he is God incarnate. Why did Jesus spend time talking to the Samaritan woman at the well?  When you think about it she was from a people who found hostility toward the Jews (which Jesus was).  What purpose is there in interacting with those who hate you and despise your beliefs? This very question is answered in the person of Jesus.

What happens when you are faced with something that goes against what you believe to be true? Is a subjective religious experience enough evidence to prove that your faith is justified?  How does your subjective experience show your beliefs to be true to someone who has never had that experience?  The foundation for our faith should be built on more than just subjective experiences, it should be based on evidence that can be seen by all who wish to see it.  Jesus did not come commanding repentance and obedience with nothing to show for it, he performed many miracles to act as evidence for his divine authority.

The title that Jesus gives himself the most is "Son of Man" This may seem like a throwaway line on the surface, but it actually holds deep biblical and theological meaning.  Jesus obviously thinks this title is important after all he refers to himself as "Son of Man" over 70 times throughout the gospels, with this in mind we would be foolish not to investigate the meaning behind this title that Jesus takes on.
