With the SNES Classic release brought back many original titles for those lucky to have acquired one, including one of the most popular of the Castlevania's; Super Castlevania IV.     Finally E3 has returned... This is actually the first year where the convention is open to the public! It makes a ton of sense considering that gamers across the globe have access to the information almost as quickly as they release it.

    In this episode of the podcast we talk about what we would like to see revealed and comment on updates on hardware and games that we expect to see for sure.

    We comment on the upcoming games planned for the Nintendo Switch, the virtual console on the Switch, Skyrim, Metroid, and more!

    We are excited for the EA presentation which includes Star Wars Battlefront II that finally has a campaign/story mode that the first release so desparately needed...and Kylo Ren as a playable character!

    And E3 aside, how amped is everyone for the Castlevania Netflix series that releases on July 07, 2017!?

    Disappointment comes in many forms, for video games, it could be that a game fails to achieve what you expected from it, perhaps it's boring, or has too much grinding. Sometimes it's just completely different than what you pictured in your head... but then there are titles that never see the light of day, they are teased, mentioned, shown in clips or screenshots or just written in articles and then poof!     The SNES is home to many outstanding RPG titles which are held in high standing for many retro gamers. Secret of Mana was a unique, well received and overall fun game which was also one of the very few multiplayer RPG's available to play during the height of the SNES' existance.     As any old school gamer will tell you, there was a time before home consoles where video games existed purely in arcades, and when they did make their way into the homes it was still years before good looking and fun multiplayer existed, and forget internet, a decade at least away! The arcade was the place where gamers could hang out with other people who loved gaming, sometimes going head to head in a competitive title, or join forces to vanquish the forces of darkness or the "bag guys". Fighters, shooters, racers, pinball, you name it the arcade was the place to go.     Having grown up in the era when pc's were for a while only in school and very rarely in a home.... to the wonders we now share, the VG Boys look back on classic PC gaming and talk about major contenders that shaped the gaming world forever, such as Doom 2. Even if PC gaming isn't your thing, it's amazing to think about what was considered a huge leap in gaming and forever carved a way for FPS to this day.
