The Elimination Round: Winning in Life and Sports.

The Elimination Round: Winning in Life and Sports.

Today on the WINNERS FIND A WAY Show, Host Trent M Clark breaks down what the best in the world know on creating WINNING environments - Eliminate, and STOP IT!

It is March Madness time of year again!  Be prepared because nearly ALL teams will end the season with a loss, except one - who will be crowned National Champion (or NIT Champion)!

There are behaviors that change the game for our teams and we should know a few key items here:

    1. Words Matter - Monitor and eliminate words that create triggers, high blood pressure, distress, and worse. Catch people saying the right things and praise it. Hold folks accountable to negative words.

    2. We KNOW that WINNERS Find a WAY to WIN, but what are LOSING BEHAVIORS to watch out for - these could keep us from WINNING! There are FOUR big ones and you cannot MISS them if you are aware and listening/watching for them.

    3. There are 2 big words that I've come to recognize in my 'go to' team members - the folks that I will literally say out loud, "I would like 10 more folks on our team just like her!" Take a listen and then 'test' your team to see which persons will step up and use these two GLORIOUS words - then build teams around them because they'll make everyone better around them.

    Learn More from Trent Clark:

    [00:03:22] Words matter.

     [00:05:41] Rephrasing "problem" to "challenge".

     [00:08:39] Losing Behaviors.

[00:13:26] Losing behaviors to watch for.

    [00:17:34] Valuing Dependable Team Members.

[00:22:00] Leadership lessons from Nick Saban.

    Podcast Takeaways :

"Words matter - start eliminating negative attitudes and energy-sucking words!" -

"Stop, start, continue - make better decisions and lead healthier lives!" -

"Replace the word 'problem' with 'challenge' - most people are up for a challenge!" -

"Eliminate processed foods and sugars - increase your water intake!" -

"Be boundary driven in relationships - eliminate what no longer serves you!"

"Commit to the elimination round - position yourself for a chance to play in March Madness!"

"Eliminate the conversation around problems - it doesn't serve organizations very well!"

"Choose great things - understand the impact of negative attitudes and words!"

"Don't tell people how big your problems are - they have their own issues!"

Bob Burg: The Go-Giver Who Found Success With 'One More Call

Bob Burg: The Go-Giver Who Found Success With 'One More Call

In this episode of Winners Find A Way Coach Trent joins Bob Burg a Massachusetts native and world-class speaker who is the author of The Go-Giver and the founder of the Go-Giver Success Alliance. He is rated as the #10 most motivational book of all time and is a master of leveraging referrals to increase his reach and income.

Bob Burg, an introverted but outgoing speaker, desperately tries to avoid getting a job and hangs onto his dream of becoming a full-time professional speaker by making one last call, which ironically lands him a life-changing gig with the PGA.

He decided to make one last call and ended up speaking at 41 of the PGA's 51 sections, which kept him in business. He learned the Five Principles from "The Go-Giver" which taught him to focus on providing value to the marketplace to earn money, and to be his authentic self in order to create trust and be open to receiving. Bob Burg's story is a reminder that taking risks can lead to unexpected rewards.

Join Trent and Burg: The Go-Giver Who Found Success With 'One More Call.

In this episode, you will learn the following:

    • How Bob Burg was able to stay in business with one phone call.

    • How authenticity is key to creating trust in sales

    • How giving and receiving are not opposite concepts, and how to reconcile that with the abundance of anti-prosperity messages that exist.

    Podcast Takeaways :

"The key to effective giving is to stay open to receiving - understanding that giving and receiving are not opposite concepts, even though that is the message the world gives us." - Bob Burg

“Sustainability comes in on endless referrals. The money you make is proportionate to the people you serve. With referred prospects, you're going in on borrowed influence. With a referred prospect, it's easier to complete the sale.”

“Trying to be successful with making money as your goal is like trying to travel a super highway at 70 miles an hour with your eyes glued to the rearview mirror. You've got to do it by providing value to the marketplace.”

Turning Sales into Service: How This Business Coach Helps Entrepreneurs Double Their Income

Nicky Billou is an eight-time author, international speaker, and longtime coach. He is an Iranian-born Canadian citizen who has dedicated his life to helping people rewire their thinking from selling to serving. He has worked with top Olympic athletes, billionaires, and the number one realtor in Canada.

Nikki's father foresaw the tyranny of the mullahs and moved the family to Canada when Nikki was 11. Growing up, Nikki learned from his father and got into the business of helping people.

He started helping top Olympic athletes and billionaires before realizing that he could help struggling business owners by reframing selling as serving.

Nikki shares his insights and stories from over the years, including his time at Georgetown, where he learned about the value of freedom and the foundation for success. He also discusses his experience traveling the world and seeing firsthand how good America has it compared to other countries.

Join Trent and Nikki to learn how you can unlock the mindset of a champion, rewire your thinking to succeed, and serve at the same time.

"Selling is an act of love - only sell to the people you care about and want to help. Reframe selling to serving, and watch your income increase tenfold."

"There's no hate speech - only free speech. We need to stand up against those trying to take away our right to free expression, or we'll lose what we have over here."
