The one and only Dark Chapel from the Silentsanctum Manga group joins us on the podcast! We talk about his beginnings in the local comics scene and how he still keeps on creating awesome stories despite various challenges in his seven-plus years of making comics.

We talk about his comics influences growing up in Baguio, how the Internet has changed comics culture and, put those two together, porn - from fan-made comics porn online to the one he did back in high school! In this episode, we talk to Carlo Vergara, creator of the superhero comic ZsaZsa Zaturnnah. The widely popular Zaturnnah has transposed to theater productions and a full length feature film. Carlo talks to us about his process in creating the sequel to the first compilation entitled Zaturnnah sa Kalakhang Maynila which went into the stands last month. We also talk about the commercial viability of local comics - something that has been a bit absent recently.

Our first guest for 2012 is Gerry Alanguilan, creator of the Wasted series, inker on countless Marvel and DC titles and, more recently, creator of the 2011 Eisner-nominated comic book Elmer. We talk about how the perception of local comics has changed through the years and how it's keeping up with the ever-changing and growing landscape of the Internet. The Greatest Man on the Internet also talks about his hugely famous viral Youtube video and its unintentional effects on the promotion of Elmer. That leads us to discussing marketing local comics and how its creators could do well by raising their standards through constructive criticism. In this episode, we talk with Doc Carlo (Callous Comics) on how he found himself doing comics and practicing medicine at the same time. We go through his early years of Callous Comics, how he started, including his influences, motivation, and philosophies for making comics, such as his opinions as to why webcomics doesn't seem to catch on as much locally. Doc Carlo also talks about his other talents, such as being a dj and voice actor.

We go into Josel's works in this episode, as he explains how he went about creating them, from Roleplay to Windmills, then to the Huling El Bimbo Adaptations and many more. Josel also talks about censorship, the Neil Gaiman Fantasy Fiction Awards, and his brief stint in K-zon with his comic Doc Brick.
