We're back baby!!! Happy New Year's guys I am sending everyone love and light for the year ahead. I'm switching up the format of the show a bit, making it more personal AND adding music to it which naturally helps me tell my story so you can see where I'm coming from. 

This week I am excited to introduce to you guys a band named Cruza. They are super dope! I guess the closest thing I could compare them to is Black Eyed Pea's but musically more like The Internet or Phony PPL. This week I got to chop it up with the R&B artist Kenyon Dixon that I just recently started following this year after dropping the deluxe version to his latest project 'Closer'. This episode so far I would have to say was one of the more fun ones for me for a few reasons. 1. he's and empath like me so we had no issue with honesty and digging deep. 2. He has a stacked resume from his time in the industry and there was a lot that I learned from his journey from student to teacher in the R&B world. Lastly, 3. Even after being cosigned by R&B legends like Anita Baker he is still down to earth and dope.

R&B Superestar Tone Sith has been on my wishlist to interview for a while now. After hearing his latest tape FWM and having a standout perfromance during BET's 2021 cypher I have been a fan of Tone's music and now after our first interview I'm an even bigger fan of him. We discussed his journey from starting out in music at an early age in group getting boo'd off at the Apollo, to his evolution as an artist since moving to LA, working with Chris Brown, the inside scope in his dating life + more.

I've been following IEMBE brand for a while now after falling in love with a commercial the bag line dropped that stared the CEO and owners mother! Not only did it excite me to see a black owned brand thriving, but it was really dope to see how his mother empowered and praised thanks to her son's work. One of my personal favorite things about Hip Hop (at least during the golden era) was the communities and crews that displayed unity and shared a love for that art of Rap Van Buren remind me of just that. The Brockton, Massachusetts group  landed on my radar after a New York City show they did back in June 2022 and I've been dying to meet them since. Get familiar with Van Buren Records, the sound, the label, the movement.
