    Norhayati started to run at the age of 40 and ran with her husband. One of the thing that I remembered it’s that she was running with her head covered. I could not imagine to do that because in Malaysia it’s so hot and humid. As it was her religion she decided to keep it and run with it. This is why i decide to interview women in the world to understand them and understand all the differences in all culture.

    She was an ultra runner, running long distance. One of the first women that i met who was participating to races above 100 km.
    For Teh, women were equal as men not only in running but also in life. As I told you in the last episode, female Malaysian runners have a different way of living than other Asian country. So you will see that Teh has a similar way of thinking as European runner.

    Women Run The World #26 - Lynn - Malaysia

     Welcome on episode number 26 of Women Run The World podcast with Lynn’s interview. 

    We are now travelling to Malaysia, a really diverse country especially by the number of religions practiced.  

    I met Lynn while I was running the Penang Marathon in November 2015. In this race you run on a bridge of 13 kilometers way and back. So 26 kilometers on a 42 kilometers race with 25 degrees and 80% of humidity. She was one of the race pacer. 

    I was following her with a balloon attached to her waist indicating her pace. At this end of the race, I asked her if she would like to talk about her passion and she said yes. Lynn is a strong woman who is doing a lot to perform in her sport.

    Welcome on episode number 25 of Women Run The World podcast with Bun Theng’s interview. 

    Last episode in Cambodia. It was kind of hard for me to meet Cambodian runners as there were not a lot of them. Besides, they did not speak English. 

    Hopefully, I could find people to help me. Running is like a big family around the world. At least it’s how I experienced it.  

    Bun Theng was another disabled women and still made a choice to run. A uplifting spirit even her future was not perfectly bright and clear.

    Welcome on episode number 23 of Women Run The World podcast with Meyjou’s interview. 

    After India, I went to Cambodia and met women runner in Phnom Penh. It’s not really common to find athlete in this country. But I found few amazing female runner. 

    The first one : Meyjou who was part of Cambodia national team. She was really into sport and really wanted to be an awarded athlete. She also wanted to encourage women to practice sport for their health and not repeat what the old generation was doing : staying at home. 

    Even her english was not perfect, I hop you will understand what she was fighting for.
