With over 30 years of legal experience, Karen serves clients as a legal liaison – the central link that assures divorces are professionally executed as efficiently as possible. Karen is also a certified QDRO Administrator, Founder and President of Sisters U Foundation, advisory council of Support Pay, and an Auditor of East Rockhill Township. As a divorced mom of three, Karen knows what it’s like to navigate the dark waters of divorce alone and in the dark. Karen cofounded My Divorce Solution as the company she wished had existed in her divorce. She’s committed to helping families navigate divorce differently – with financial clarity – not fear – driving decisions and compromise.

Catherine Shanahan is Co-founder of My Divorce Solution. With over 30 years of experience in the financial industry, Catherine serves clients as a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA) and trained mediator. A Professional Daily Money Manager, Catherine is also a former VP of the Bucks County Collaborative Law Group, American Association of Daily Money Managers, Institute of Women Business Financial Analysts (IDFA), National Association of Women Business Owners, advisory council of Support Pay, and the Association of Divorce Financial Planners.

As a mom of five and financial expert, Catherine’s experience with divorce left her wishing for better information, resources, and process for the financial separation that comes with divorce. As a result, Catherine co-founded My Divorce Solution – the company she needed in her divorce.

Nina Batista is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience working with individuals, families and groups battling a variety of life challenges such as addiction, mood disorders, trauma, personality disorders, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, self-esteem struggles and behavioral concerns. Not only has she helped clients who struggle with the disease of addiction or those who engage in reoccurring maladaptive behaviors, but also assisted the loved ones who have been impacted by it. Nina earned her undergrad in psychology at Northeastern and completed her last year online at Capella University while studying abroad in the UK. She received her Masters of Social Work at Florida Atlantic University. She believes that clients require an intimate and comfortable space that feels safe in order for healing and growth to occur. Her goal is to assist clients in identifying barriers that are hindering their wellbeing and growth and help them in developing a sense of self-worth that allows them to thrive.

Elizabeth Feustel Krajewski is the Legal Administrator and Operations Director of Florida Women’s Law Group. Prior to joining the firm, Elizabeth served in policy research roles for the Jacksonville Public Education Fund and Jacksonville Civic Council. She also served as a program manager and adjunct professor in public policy at Jacksonville University. Elizabeth received her Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law and Masters in Public Policy from Jacksonville University as a member of Florida’s first JD-MPP program. Her graduate research led to a successful half-penny sales tax campaign to fund public education infrastructure in Jacksonville. Elizabeth received her Bachelor of Science in Economics from JU, graduating Magna Cum Laude and with University Honors. Elizabeth was among the inaugural cohorts of Jax Chamber’s Hightower Emerging Leaders Fellowship and the American Enterprise Institute Leadership Network’s Millennial Cohort. Elizabeth serves on the Board of Advisors of JU’s Public Policy Institute and as the founding chair of JU’s Public Policy Alumni Network. She enjoys exploring Jacksonville and cheering on the Jaguars with her husband, son, and their dog Figgie Smalls.

As one of Florida Women’s Law Group’s longest standing employees, Anna started her career with FWLG in 2013. Highly skilled and knowledgeable in her field, Anna provides quality legal representation for her clients. She completed her undergraduate degree at Kennesaw State University in Georgia and then went on to graduate from Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, FL. To expand her legal training, she also earned certificates in family law and legal research. Anna always knew she was destined to practice family law and it certainly reflects in her work.

Anne focuses her divorce practice on high asset, high conflict cases. She believes that divorce should be handled with professionalism and discretion, and works to diffuse destructive, expensive tactics from overly aggressive opposing counsel, always aiming to maintain the clients’ privacy while preserving assets for settlement. Anne draws from her extensive litigation experience, as well as her work as a trained mediator, to obtain results her clients can not only live with, but live well. Raising her two children as a single mother has taught her many life lessons that go beyond traditional legal services. Karen is a divorce coach and consultant, mediator, author, speaker, collaborative divorce professional, and a recovering divorce attorney.

What does all of that mean?

I work with you so that you understand your marriage and divorce options. That, in turn, helps you make better choices and to be better prepared for what lies ahead. It also means I educate and empower you to manage your divorce with less stress, less pain, and less expense.

I will help you create realistic goals, formulate a solid plan, and develop a strategy that will allow you to either create a trial separation that works, or get you through your divorce more amicably and intelligently. While I will still act as a legal consultant in select cases in Illinois, I spend most of my time now working with people all over the world as an expert divorce coach and consultant.

Why leave a lucrative law practice to be ... a divorce coach?! 

Quite simply, I got fed up! 

The divorce system as it currently exists doesn't work the way people expect. Divorce lawyers don't do what people think they're going to do. As a result, people make uninformed decisions that lead to unintended results. They make mistakes they could have avoided. Without meaning to, they do things that hurt themselves and their kids.

I don't think that's right.

So I set out to re-engineer the way divorce is done. To do that, I needed to be MORE than just another divorce lawyer.

Believe it or not, "the law" is about 10% of most divorces.  

As a divorce adviser and an expert divorce coach, I help you with the other 90%.

About Our Guest

Kasey has successfully handled hundreds of personal injury and wrongful death cases across Florida. Prior to joining Baggett Law Personal Injury Lawyers, Kasey served as the regional lead nursing home lawyer for Morgan & Morgan’s Jacksonville office. She has also practiced law in North Carolina and locally at The Dearing Law Firm and The Lawrence Law Group.  

Beyond her law practice, Kasey believes strongly in serving her community. She currently presides as the President of the Board of Directors for Three Rivers Legal Services, a legal aid non-profit corporation that provides free civil legal services to low-income, eligible clients in seventeen counties in North Florida.

Kasey also sits on the Board of Directors for the Jacksonville Justice Association, which is a local non-profit organization of civil justice attorneys who represent people who have been injured by the negligence of others. Additionally, Kasey is an alumni of the 2019 class of Leadership Jacksonville.

Outside the office, Kasey enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, scuba diving, camping, working out, and running.
