Before starting his own business, John enjoyed a highly successful career in the corporate world. He began as a door to door life assurance salesman and culminated as the CEO of pan European life assurance company in Ireland. John started his business John Murphy international in 2004 in his work worldwide across the broad range of industries. His clients include major corporate corporates such as Pfizer, Circle K, Merck State Street bank, Vodafone and others.

Aracelli Esparza is the founder and owner of Wiscconsin Mujer, a multimedia an engagement company that specializes in highlighting the rich diversity of minority audiences in marginalized communities and frequently speaks at places like Dane County women LED conferences , Madison college, and national universities.

Esparaza's experience in targeted outreach comes from over 10 years of working in fund raising in program development positions with local government, colleges, and large nonprofit agencies. Araceli has coached many minority business owners on professional development, event planning, fund raising, entrepreneurship and content creation when she is not connecting folks she is reading doing yoga walking and writing her memoir and picture book!

Celebrating her 21st year in the insurance industry, three years ago, Meg did the unthinkable and quit her job without a job. Gasp! Who does that?

It was a pivotal decision that led to the launch of her consulting firm, Adjunct Advisors LLC, in 2018, through which she offers thoughtfully curated solutions for the development of insurance sales professionals.

Renee Moe is President and CEO of United Way of Dane County, a leader in the worldwide United Way network and across the nonprofit sector. Charity Navigator recently recognized United Way of Dane County in the top 3% of U.S. nonprofits.

A military kid who grew up on three continents, Renee has a JBA in Journalism and Mandarin Chinese, and an MBA from UW-Madison. She has been recognized with the YWCA Woman of Distinction Award, Wisconsin Women of Color Network Power of Unity Award, Brava Woman 2 Watch, UW Business School 8 Under 40 and served as President of Downtown Rotary.

United Way’s mission is to unite the community to create measurable results and change lives, mobilizing the community’s caring power to stabilize and empower families. Through significant community listening and understanding community data, United Way prioritizes education, financial stability, health and how we treat each other as the building blocks of a stable life and thriving Dane County.

With thousands of volunteers, tens of thousands of donors and hundreds of thousands of community relationships, United Way convenes cross-sector collaborations to articulate community-built change plans and metrics; engages the community in giving, advocating and volunteering to get proximate to issues and resource these plans; and evaluates progress, strengthening collaborations and accountability for results.

Kathleen Brown is the Founder & CEO of buddhi [ bud-dee]: a community-powered wellness platform for cancer thrivers to connect and heal. She created the platform after nearly 25 years navigating the f*cked up road as a cancer survivor without a get-well guidebook.

Prior to founding buddhi, Kathleen raised millions of dollars for cancer research and treatment while serving as a patient advocate to thousands. She enjoyed 15 years of success as a corporate sales and development leader for Disney, Comcast and St. Jude after graduating from the University of Illinois-Urbana/Champaign and Northwestern University.

Kim Campbell is a fierce warrior in every aspect of her life. I am still in awe from our conversation.   

Most widely recognized for her combat experience in Operation Iraqi Freedom, Kim “Killer Chick” (KC) Campbell received the Distinguished Flying Cross for Heroism when the airplane she was flying while supporting ground troops was hit with a  surface to air missile. She was able to successfully save her wounded A-10 aircraft and recover back to base, a daring feat only accomplished successfully  once before.   

Kim is a distinguished graduate from the United States Air Force Academy. She is a Marshall Scholar with two master's degrees, one in business administration from the University of London, and one in international security studies from the University of Reading, England. 

She has served as a Squadron Commander, Operations Group Commander, Air Force Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council, and Military Assistant to the Under  Secretary of Defense for Policy in the Office of the Secretary of Defense. She is a  command pilot with 1,800 hours in the A10, including 375 combat hours. She has  flown combat missions in Operation Southern Watch, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi  Freedom. 

Kim is still serving in the Air Force, currently assigned to the United States Air Force Academy as the Chair, Airpower Innovation & Integration, Department of Military and Strategic Studies. She is married to Colonel Scott Campbell and has two sons. 

Diane Kephart is a gentle loving soul who has endured the unthinkable and today supports so many.

Diane is a wife, mom, veteran, and successful entrepreneur. Diane lost her husband at a young age and believes we go through life events so that we are better able to help others through similar challenges. Her life events have enabled her to assist female veterans, military married to military, deployed spouses, young widows, single moms, those who have remarried, and entrepreneurs.
