Patrol Base Georgetown Attack

Production of U.S. Marines with Weapons Company, 1st Battalion, 6th Marines, taking highly accurate IDF at Patrol Base Georgetown in Kajaki Sofla, Afghanistan on November 22, 2011. The Marines suppress the enemy with squad organic weapons, TOW missiles and .50 caliber machine guns. After 5 hours the Marines take casualties and get the wounded medevac'd. Freedom File: 1-2 Marines Reconnaissance Patrol

Marines with 1st Battalion, 2nd Marines conduct reconnaissance patrols with members of the Afghan National Army in the northwest region of Helmand Province, Afghanistan. During this Mission, they take enemy fire but both the Marines and the ANA soldiers are still able to complete the mission without taking any casualties.
