    Sobre el Lago Guayabal donde se encuentra Milano Ristorante Italiano

     

    El lago Guayabal, entre Juana Díaz y Villalba, fue construido en 1912 con el afluente del Río Jacaguas. Su capacidad fue aumentada en la década de 1940 cuando se aumentó su nivel y se construyeron las compuertas, 22 en total. Tiene casi 1 Km de largo lo que la convierte en una de las represas más largas, si no la más larga. Originalmente la carretera PR-149 pasaba sobre la misma pero luego fue relocalizada al construirse las compuertas. Esta represa está localizada entre Juana Díaz y Villalba. La foto fue tomada desde el extremo de Villalba. El Lago Guayabal se encuentra aguas abajo del Lago Toa Vaca en Villalba.
