The Jheri Curl Chronicles flips a previous theme on its ear. An older episode played rock-oriented songs by R&B and funk artists. This one gives examples of R&B and dance songs by traditionally rock artists. '80s hits by Rod Stewart, Peter Gabriel, Pat Benatar, Phil Collins and more are included in this mix.

The special guest on the latest JCC is Jacob Slichter, who is a best-selling author and is the drummer for Grammy-nominated rock band Semisonic. Jacob, who cut his teeth in a funk band growing up in Illinois, curated this episode's selections. You'll hear songs by En Vogue, TLC, Stevie Wonder, Ramsey Lewis, The Bar-Kays and more...as well as Semisonic's cover of Prince's "Erotic City"!
