Austin Powers & Those Damn Pokemons (1997)

Austin Powers & Those Damn Pokemons (1997)

204 - We are in deep now folks. Our Spy Guys miniseries has taken us to the darkest of corners of espionage; ill-tempered Sea Bass, shoe throwing, and 1960s British dentistry... but it's pretty gosh darned funny! But you knew that, why are you even reading this? Ready the earholes and slap that play button and enjoy Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery.

Blade & The Cup of Life (Stephen Norrington, 1998)

198 - It's the final week of our Blood Suckas mini-series about those sexy creatures of the night, and what better way to bid adieu to these thirsty bois than with our Fan's Choice special - BLADE! You voted, we did it. Simple. But does Blade hold up today, or is it best left in the past? Tune in and find out.

Interview with the Vampire & CK1 (Neil Jordan, 1994)

196 - It's week three of Vampire week, and it's about time we hit the highest grossing vampire film of all time (until Twilight came along). It's Interview with the Vampire!! This thing is a wild ride man. It's definitely a grower not a shower, but holy moly this thing packs a punch once it gets going. Does that mean it holds up today? Tune in and find out!

    Under Siege (Andrew Davis, 1992)

    Under Siege (Andrew Davis, 1992)

185 - We are nearly 200 hundred episodes in and have only covered ONE Steven Seagal movie. That changes now. We are now doubling our Seagal coverag with our second outing, Under Siege. Do you like Die Hard? Do you like boats? Do you like Gary Busey in drag? You came to the right place. Join us as we dive into that movie with that one scene that changed your life as a young teen.

Gremlins 2: The New Batch (Joe Dante, 1990)

Gremlins 2: The New Batch (Joe Dante, 1990)
145 - We have been wanting to do this one for a while - the only thing holding us back, was that there is no more Gremlins after this... for now at least. It's the sequel that dials the absurdity up to 11 and gets more Meta than Zuckerberg - but does it hold up today, or is it best left in the past? Tune in and find out!

    Gladiator (Rowdy Herrington, 1992)

    Gladiator (Rowdy Herrington, 1992)
134 - Ok, this is 1992's Gladiator. With Cuba Gooding Jr, not Russell Crowe. Now that that's out the way - This is the first episode in the 'Popping Tristan's Cherry' miniseries where we are diving into movies Tristan had never seen before this week. If you are one of the many, many, many people that never saw this film, it's currently streaming on Netflix. If you are one of the existing fans of this movie, you have come to the right place!

    Spawn (Mark A.Z. Dippé, 1997)

    Spawn (Mark A.Z. Dippé, 1997)

124 - The very same year that the most neon of Batman films came out, we also had the darkest and grittiest of 90s comic book movies hit the screen. Spawn was the yin to Batman and Robin's yang. But was it actually any better than it's caped crusaders counterpart? Tune in and find out!

Men at Work (Emilio Estevez, 1990)

Men at Work (Emilio Estevez, 1990)
077 - We are hitting a deep cut this week, the 1990 'black comedy' with a double dose of Sheen/Estevi, Men at Work. Join us as we crack open this time capsule and feast on the goo inside - breaking down the film's origin story, plot, legacy and a good old-fashioned deep dive on the Sheen family (and that delightful Keith David - did you know he was the voice of Spawn? How good!).

Face / Off (John Woo, 1997)

Face / Off (John Woo, 1997)
074 -While it's not our first Nic Cage movie, nor is it our first John Travolta movie, it IS the first movie we have covered where these two guys switch faces. It's also our first John Woo movie, in what was really his first US opportunity to fully unleash the Woo. Needless to say, we are excited. While this movie gets quite a bit of airtime in 90s-action-movies-of-excess conversation - and often gets lumped into a 'so bad it's good' category of film - we would argue otherwise. Face / Off is 'so good, it's good'. Unsure? Enquire within.
