The Philadelphia Eagles have some interesting decisions regarding their roster heading into the 2024 offseason. Not only do they have to look at their list of free agents and decide which ones to re-sign, but there very well could be a few names who are still under contract whom the team should consider releasing. One of those players could be Avonte Maddox, due to his injury history and amount of games missed during his career. Is it time to move on from the talented slot CB, or is he still too good of a player to let go? Other names to consider are players like James Bradberry, D’Andre Swift, and Brandom Graham.

The Eagles Talk panel will also react to AJ Brown’s call-in on WIP a few days ago. The Eagles’ superstar WR cleared the air and criticized Philly media for creating fake rumors about the team and being overly negative. He also defended himself and many of his teammates and gave his explanation as to what contributed to the late-season collapse. Did Brown have a valid point? The Philadelphia 76ers lost to the Milwaukee Bucks Sunday afternoon by a score of 119 - 98. Doc Rivers returned to Philadelphia drawing BOOs from the Sixers fans in attendance. The Sixers desperately miss their MVP Joel Embiid. Dame Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo came into Philly to face a Sixers team still missing Joel Embiid and dominated from the opening tip. Tyrese Maxey, Tobias Harris, Buddy Hield, and Kyle Lowry tried to tread water in the absence of Embiid. In the first half the Sixers struggled defensively allowing the Bucks to make 13 three pointers. Tyrese Maxey led the Sixers with 24 points followed by DeAnthony Melton with 16 and Paul Reed with 13. The Bucks were led by Giannis with 30 points, Lillard with 24, and Malik Beasley with 20 points.

The Philadelphia 76ers kick off the 2nd half of the NBA season Thursday night as they host the New York Knicks. Coming out of the NBA All Star break the Sixers are going to be without the services of MVP Joel Embiid. Due to Embiid’s injury guard Tyrese Maxey was the lone representative for the All-Star Game. The Philadelphia Phillies began their Spring Training for the upcoming season as pitchers and catchers reported last week. The first full team working will take place on Monday, February 19th. The Philadelphia Flyers traveled up the New Jersey Turnpike Saturday night to take on the New Jersey Devils in this year’s Stadium Series. The Philadelphia Sixers are in the midst of a brutal West Coast trip. Joel Embiid had missed the previous two games of the trip before returning to action against the Golden State Warriors. Joel Embiid did not finish that game against the Warriors without making things worse. The Sixers have also been without the services of Tyrese Maxey who has missed his third straight game himself. Despite playing against the Indiana Pacers on January 25th, the Sixers lost that game and have lost the previous two games without Joel against the Denver Nuggets and the Portland Trail Blazers. Steph Curry connected on 8 of his 13 three pointers to end with 37 points while Jonathan Kuminga scored 26 points for the Golden State Warriors. The Sixers were led by Tobias Harris with 26 points and 10 rebounds. The Sixers end their trip Thursday night against the Utah Jazz before returning home.
