The NHL trade deadline is upon us and we chatted with Tom Gazzola who went through 8 of them while with Oilers TV. He gave us a behind-the-scenes look at what the players and staff go through, including some first-hand stories from the road with Devan Dubnyk and David Perron. We also touched on Hello Hockey with Tom and Shawn Belle on Edmonton Sports Talk. 

Brandon and Dean discussed the Top 5 Stories in Hockey, from the stretch drive in the AB BCHL to the Devils parting ways with Lindy Ruff and a big fight in NCAA hockey!

AAA Northeast's Robert Sinclair Jr. joined On the Record with Steve Scott to explain the uptick in stolen cars on Long Island being recovered.

A lot has happened since our last show before Christmas and Brandon Ewanchyshyn joins Dean Millard on each show to break down the big stories. One that is creating a lot of conversations involves the AJHL and the cancelation of games as well as Shawn Belle and a group of independent hockey players being stopped from attending an independent hockey tournament in Detroit. 

Dennis Beyak has spent more than half a century behind the mic and called his last game at the World Junior Championship in Sweden. He joined the show to recap the tournament, the Winnipeg Jets topping the league standings, and his illustrious career. Brandon Ewanchyshyn is just getting started on his career in sports broadcasting and has built a powerhouse production company at 4Vengeance Media.

In our final show of 2023, we welcomed former NHL Linesperson Brad Lazarowich, now the Vice-President of Hockey Operations with the British Columbia Hockey League.  Brad had a stellar career with trips to the Stanley Cup final including 2003's iconic New Jersey/Anaheim 7-game series featuring Paul Kariya's comeback moment. The former official also pulls no punches when it comes to the tactics used towards independent hockey.

The President of 4Vengeance Media Brandon Ewanchyshyn also joined the show to discuss a monumental day in the history of the city of Spruce Grove and the Spruce Grove Saints regarding a new arena. The team will head into the holiday break on a high after defeating Blackfalds 4-1 at Grant Fuhr Arena, in what was the start of the long goodbye to the only home the Spruce Grove Saints have known. We also wrapped up the Winter Championship from excellent hockey to terrific stories it was a wild full season of hockey packed into 5 days!

We end the show with the legendary Gene Principe and his opening to our Sunday broadcast. 

The Prince of Puns and host of Oilers hockey on Sportsnet will also be a part of the JPHL's Winter Championship! Ed Sawatsky's Lethbridge United squad will be trying to win it all and earn home-ice advantage in the playoffs. 

Spruce Grove took on Sherwood Park at the nicest arena in Canada that isn't for a pro team. Manny Schmidt of Link Management educated on the agency business and Dustin Kohn U17 Titans Hockey Union Head Coach chatted about development for players and coaches.

From the Rivalry Series between Canada and the United States to a teenage star from Slovakia to the new PWHL, there is a lot to be excited about around the world in the game of hockey, and who better to chat with than an Olympic and World champion? 

The Spruce Grove Saints will play a game at the brand new and beautiful Silent Ice Center on November 28th. Will the Stony Plain Eagles look to do the same?

The 2-time Stanley Cup champion Kris Versteeg attended the Challenge Cup recently and was blown away by the Silent Ice Center and the competition for his Klevr Super League teams. Why are kids so skilled in today's game? Who went through his mind each time he lifted the Stanley Cup?
