Fourth Sunday of Easter (Year A, 2022-2023)

Scripture Readings: Acts 2:42-47, Psalm 23, 1 Peter 2:19-25, John 10:1-10

We are exploring together the Book of Acts as the crossroads  to understanding the New Testament.  It provides a wonderful picture of how Jesus' teachings went from words to actions, from being in people's minds to being in people's hearts.

This week, Sharon Hess shares from Acts 2:42-47.

David Toscano explores what we might do to help shape the community we live in – both now and in the future. How we are being moved to a new expression of community, and how we can be faithful to the purposes of Jesus as we move.

Over the past three weeks, we have heard messages around our three commitments for 2022. This Sunday, we look at the early church in Acts and then have an opportunity to share and act on these commitments.

From our Pentecost series. Having been ignited by the Holy Spirit, the early Church went on to participate daily in the life of the Spirit. It is not enough simply to receive the Holy Spirit one time; we must continue to "walk in step with," must "go on being filled" by the Holy Spirit. This week we take a look at Acts 2:42-47 to see how the Church in book of Acts continued to partner with the work of the Spirit in and through them and to learn how we can feed the fire.
