On this week's episode, Qais helps us learn what everyday life holds for LGBTQ+ Afghans, how the world's perception of the country is often tainted and what it's like to move from a queer life in Afghanistan to one in America.

Akbar's Fury: How the Mughals Made an Empire

Akbar's Fury: How the Mughals Made an Empire
It is the unlikeliest of stories. In 1540, Humayun was out of luck and on the run, while Sher Shah was victorious. Barely fifteen years later, Sher Shah was dead in a freak accident and his empire was in chaos. The Mughals returned to the plains of Hindustan with a renewed fury. But it was Humayun’s brilliant young son, Akbar, that would bring fire and death to his enemies and create a world-changing empire.

Carol Platt Liebau: America’s Security Depends on Proper Vetting of Afghan Refugees

Carol Platt Liebau: America’s Security Depends on Proper Vetting of Afghan Refugees

As people across the United States watch the debacle in Afghanistan, there's virtually unanimous agreement on two points. First, no American who wants to come home should be left behind. Second, we must ensure the safety of the Afghans who helped us. But given the frenzied haste with which the Biden administration is flying tens of thousands of Afghans into the country, hard questions are in order. How carefully are these new arrivals being vetted?

It's been reported that some of the new arrivals have turned up on terror watch lists. One man flown into America, reportedly works for ISIS.

It would be a tragedy if our commitment to the safety of our Afghan friends were exploited by terrorists and enabled by the incompetence of our own government. What we've seen of the Biden administration's ineptitude or worse, both in Afghanistan and on our Southern border hardly inspires confidence.

It's time for some answers on exactly who's coming here. America's security depends on it.

Episode 107-Updates on Afghanistan and Covid Vaccinations

Episode 107-Updates on Afghanistan and Covid Vaccinations

In this week's National Crawford Roundtable podcast the guys share updates regarding the situation in Afghanastan and COVID-19 vaccinations.  In the first half of the podcast we look at the shocking reality that we have officially left behind in Afghanastan hundreds, possibly thousands or American citizens and Afghan allies who are now in danger for their lives. How should they be handled?  We'll also discuss the 13 U.S. servicemembers killed by ISIS-K, and the distressing news that they are now armed with $83 billion dollars in military arsenal.  Should the U.S. or our Allies return to Afghanistan at some point?  If not, how do we stop another 9-11 type attack?  In the second half of the podcast we will discuss what is going on with COVID-19 and the vaccination debate.  Are the numbers regarding infection rates and deaths being released true or skewed?  And what about the vitriol between the vaccinated and non-vaccinated--what is really driving the division?
