ARREST MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE FOR THREATENING PELOSI 10.31.22

ARREST MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE FOR THREATENING PELOSI 10.31.22

A-Block (1:45) SPECIAL COMMENT: Arrest the stochastic terrorists who instigated the attempted assassination of Nancy Pelosi on Friday. 18 USC 871, punishing threats against those in the presidential success, will suffice for Marjorie Taylor Greene, on video from 2019 (5:41) And Republican Congressional Committee chair Tom Emmer, who tweeted video of himself firing a weapon, with the hashtag "#FirePelosi (6:49) The GOP has been encouraging violence against Pelosi since 2010 (8:00) It got a gift to help satisfy its own adherents and gaslight others when Bay Area TV reporter Evan Sernoffsky falsely reported the assailant was wearing only underwear. All references to this stem from this terrible journalism, and none carry Sernoffsky's retraction (9:15) And then came the Elon Musk tweet spreading a nonsensical conspiracy theory from a pretend news outlet around the world (10:30) The GOP's effort to work the refs has produced results, especially in convincing media to pretend the party's use of the threat of violence is something new (11:00) Just my own experience, as a victim of four fake anthrax mailings in 2006 because I criticized Bush, and being on the second wave list of the "MAGA-Bomber" in 2018 for criticizing Trump, underscores how widespread this tactic has been. (15:15) And then there is the last component. How can the Marjorie Taylor Greenes of this world be sure that everybody they encourage to use violence is a Republican, and every one of the victims will be a Democrat - and not the other way around?

B-Block (19:20) EVERY DOG HAS ITS DAY: Droolius Caesar, in New York (20:22) POSTSCRIPTS TO THE NEWS: Lula wins, why did the DOJ add a Terror prosecutor to the Trump Documents team, the Mastriano confession, Musk charging for blue checks? (23:55) IN SPORTS: Did you see the perfect game in the World Series Saturday? And the Qataris celebrating the LGBTQ boycott of the World Cup (28:28) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: The new UK PM gets roasted by a patient at a hospital photo op. He and Tom Cotton compete with the Kansas candidate who implied Tiger Woods killed a cop for the "honors."

C-Block (33:36) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: The day Brian Williams lied about Iraq but I thought I was the one going crazy, then the day I tried to save Brian Williams; then the day the president of NBC News explained why they didn't - and couldn't - fire him.

Ep. 81: First Round Recap, Sad Trumpet for Mets, Tigers Clean House, Second Round Expectations

Ep. 81: First Round Recap, Sad Trumpet for Mets, Tigers Clean House, Second Round Expectations

In this week's episode, the boys kick off the show apologizing for their shitty picks. Michael was 0-4. S-Man was 1-3. They breakdown the crazy fun time that was the first round of the postseason. After, they examine what the hell happened to the Mets. Their implosion was historic. Is Timmy Trumpet really to blame, or could it be Buck "Almost" Showalter himself? Newest President of Ops for the Tigers, Scott Harris, cleaned house in Detroit. Will the cleanse pay off? Here we are, the second round of the postseason. The boys make their newest predictions and pick one hero for each predicted winner for the ALDS and NLDS. Will S-Man double-down? Will Michael actually get something right? Find out! They round out the show with Collection Corner.

    Hurricane Chowder Head

    Hurricane Chowder Head

TV could not even wait for EstoBro to hit record while the two were warming up for this week's podcast episode, as the Gents and the world reacted to news of Gisele Bündchen serving Tom Brady with divorce papers (1:00). The writing was on the wall for Tampa Bay and the Buccanneers with Brady performing poorly through the first few weeks of the season, but what more can you expect from someone who reneged his retirement? As the Gents validate their excuses for additional absences between wedding hangovers and 'lobsterette' travels in Boston, EstoBro begins the nerd segment seeking 'Smash Injustice' for Master Chief (19:45) post the celebration of the 15th anniversary of Halo 3 being released. With the debates heating up week after week about video game characters not being included in the hit title game, TV validates the idea that the pair need to create their own Smash Bros.-clone video game and shatter the multiverse. During his travels to Boston, EstoBro reveals seeing Morbius and Thor: Love and Thunder and tries comparing the two (26:00); while hinting at the idea to his Greek co-host that the excitement of Hercules gracing the silver screen and what possibilities will come from that character.  The regular baseball season has ended (42:10), but before discussing the playoffs, the Gents celebrate the feats of Albert Pujols passing 700 home runs and Aaron Judge setting the American League single-season home run record with 62. They also break down the new playoff format and the hard road ahead for the local team, the Tampa Bay Rays. With both EstoBro and TV having terrible fantasy football seasons (56:55), the two make another invitation for their listeners to play fantasy basketball again. A primary reason why EstoBro escaped to Boston was to avoid the destruction of Hurricane Ian (60:35) as it made landfall in southwest Florida, another reason why there was no show recorded in the previous week. Safe, sound, and ready for the spooky season to kick off in October, the Gents of the EstoBro TV Podcast plan on delivering episodes with their regularly planned released schedule.

Ep. 80: Judge Tops Maris, What If S-Man Caught Home Run Ball 62?, Mets Pull a Mets, Postseason Predictions

In this week's episode, the boys rave about Aaron Judge breaking Roger Maris' home run record. The 62nd home run ball was caught by someone who doesn't even need the money. This raises the question: what would Steve do if he caught this historic baseball? In other news, it's official, all teams have clinched their playoff spots. Even the Mets, who have pulled a Mets move and lost the NL East title to the Braves to end the regular season. Will this haunt them in the postseason? It's that time of year again! The boys make their postseason predications. It's going to be a wild time, so let's goooooo!

Awesome heads up play by  @rams #bobbywagner legal hit on moron who ran on the field.  @49ers Jekyll & Hyde from ugly #snf loss to @broncos 11-10. All #nfcwest teams are 2-2. @livestrongernyc #danieljones ankle needs to get healthy for #nfllondon vs @packers Sunday. If not #saquonbarkley can play QB.
@nyjets #zachwilson let’s build off Sunday win and turn it up a notch vs @miamidolphins Sunday and get the division lead.
@mets & @yankees both playing two today.  So far no #homeruns for #aaronjudge today. Don’t think he’s feeling the pressure to hit 62 @yankeesrecaps at all.
RIP former @texaswbb star #tiffanyjackson who died at the too young age of 37 from #breastcancer it really sucks. #cancersucks
    #gisellebundchen & #tombrady say it isn’t so.

The Legend of Bailey Zappe, The Downfall of Kelly Gruber, NHL Over/Unders, PEDs & Tommy John

The Legend of Bailey Zappe, The Downfall of Kelly Gruber, NHL Over/Unders, PEDs & Tommy John

Alex, Jesse, Jon, and Josh offer their weekly musings on the world of sports with a teaspoon of nonsense. Alex details the growing legend of Bailey Zappe (0:19), Jon and Josh give an update on the outcome of their bet from last season and their new bet (6:48). The guys summarize some headlines from their fantasy football league at the quarter pole of the season (10:43), Josh and Jesse bemoan and celebrate their NFL teams' results from Sunday (14:47), and the Alex and Jon remember Carl English's basketball prowess and his draft night to forget (24:04). Jesse and Josh give their over/under point total predictions for certain NHL teams (26:53), and Jesse ponders PEDs, steroid use for healing purposes, and Tommy John surgery, while asking if there ought be clear distinctions between drugs, surgeries, and technology (36:57). The show ends with everyone's Qualin Award nominations including a deep dive into Kelly Gruber's transgressions (50:37).

TRUMP PACKED THE DOCUMENT BOXES HIMSELF! 10.4.22

TRUMP PACKED THE DOCUMENT BOXES HIMSELF! 10.4.22

    EPISODE 46

A-Block (1:46) SPECIAL COMMENT: Trump just convicted himself of Obstruction of Justice. (2:50) The big debate within DOJ about charging him is about "consciousness of guilt." Could he have NOT known he had illegal possession of documents (including one detailing the nuclear capabilities of another nation)? If as The Washington Post reports, he actually packed the boxes himself, he knew - and the debate is over. (3:45) And to make it worse, he tried to suborn perjury, to get his attorney to sign a document in February saying he had returned all the documents (4:38) Which could lead to a conspiracy, since he DID get another attorney to sign the same kind of document in June (5:36) An entirely separate second path of Obstruction and Conspiracy was opened by his conversation with Maggie Haberman about the Kim Jung-Un letter (7:12) All of which explains the timing of his suit against CNN (8:45) And his threat to sue the 1/6 Commission, which may register in only one place: (9:00) CNN, where Chris Licht and John Malone have spent six months brown-nosing Conservative politicians in hopes that the leopards wouldn't eat THEIR faces.

B-Block (13:17) EVERY DOG HAS ITS DAY: Whisper (14:20) POSTSCRIPTS TO THE NEWS: It's one thing to be anti-abortion and to have a news organization prove you paid for a girlfriend's abortion, but it's quite another, Herschel Walker, to then be repudiated in public by your own son. Plus the Oaf Keepers' trial starts (18:06) IN SPORTS: Albert Pujols yes, Aaron Judge no; Monday Night Football fan flattened; National Women's Soccer League devastated by new report of coach corruption (20:50) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: Scott Jensen and Kim Kardashian compete with a Twitter Karen who can't tell the Pennsylvania Senate from a minor league baseball team.

C-Block (25:19) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: The day I met actor Walter Matthau, his improbable hobby of vocal impersonations, and the kindness he extended me that was so extraordinary that though it was the only time I met him, when he died years later, I burst into tears.

Damn @mets fans you had a rough weekend.  On to the #wildcard as the @braves crush your dreams again.
@phillies magic number down to one. @brewers had your shot.
#aaronjudge going to have to try and get #62 for @yankees on the road @rangers but wouldn’t surprise me if he finishes year tied with #rogermaris at 61.
But the @nyjets & @nygiants both won. #zachwilson had a great 4th QT in win over @steelers and is #kennypickett going to start at QB the rest of the year?  Mitch hasn’t shown much this season.  #miketomlin could have his first losing season in his coaching career.
#cooperrush 4-0 best start ever for @dallascowboys QB but this is Dak’s team.  @philadelphiaeagles only undefeated team in #nfl at 4-0.
#antoniobrown what’s going on man?  Not making good decisions lately.
A yearlong investigation found @nwsl @ussoccer of #systemicabuse toward #womenssoccer players for years.  Things need to change.

    Phillies Do or Die Time

    Phillies Do or Die Time
    • The Phillies are hanging on for dear life with their Wild Card lead down to 0.5 games with 8 games remaining. Fresh of four straight losses and back-to-back losses against the Cubs, the Phillies desperately need a win. Meanwhile, the fierce battle of the NL East continues between the Mets and Braves, both fighting for the division lead and the critical #2 playoff seed which gets a first round bye and avoids the Dodgers until the NLCS. On Friday, the Mets head to Atlanta for what will perhaps be the most important series of the year for both teams.
    • Albert Pujols made history with his 700th homerun and joins the most prestigious list in baseball with only 3 other members – Barry Bonds, Hank Aaron, and Babe Ruth.
    • Last but not least, Aaron Judge just tied Roger Maris with 61 home runs. It took Judge 7 games to hit this historic homerun, but with 7 games remaining for the Yankees, pressure is surely building for this year’s MVP lock. Should we also mention that Judge is also battling for the AL Triple Crown, with the deciding factor being batting average as Judge is currently barely ahead as he battles Luis Arraez (both players hitting .313). Only 12 Triple Crowns have ever been achieved, the last in 2012 by Miguel Cabrera, the next closest goes all the way back to 1967. Best of luck to Aaron Judge as he fights for these two historic achievements.

Ep. 79: Judge's Homer Slump, Pujols' Last Hurrah, the Old Man & Mr. Unlucky, Postseason Sleepers

In this week's episode the boys have to bring up Aaron Judge's homer slump. He's still destroying the ball and providing for his team, but the elusive number 61 is still out of reach. When will he get it? Albert Pujols has joined the 700 club. The boys discuss how special that is and how special he is. The old man, Tony LaRussa, is out for the season, but it's likely he's done in Chicago for good, while Mr. Unlucky, Don Mattingly, has stepped down as manager of the Marlins. The boys breakdown each move and talk the highs and lows of their current situations. Afterwards, they break into postseason talk by picking two sleepers for each postseason team. Who will be the next Randy Arozarena, Carlos Beltran or Pablo Sandoval this year? The boys then round out the show with Collection Corner and the last Fantasy Factory for the year.
