Episode #57 feat. The Wonder Years & The Used

Australia has a Heavy Music Festival Season Again (on the East Coast) and the latest addition to grace us with its presence is Good Things Festival featuring a stack of bands like The Offspring, Dropkick Murphys, Bullet For My Valentine, Northlane, Make Them Suffer, La Dispute, All Time Low and the two special guests co-hosting this week's episode of the podcast.

First up is Dan Campbell from pop punk band The Wonder Years who joins us to chat about their latest album Sister Cities which features a very emotional track Dan wrote after having to travel to Japan for a tour not long after his Grandfather passed away. Its certainly one of the better albums to be released in 2018 so far, but podcast host Browny also accidentally uncovered a secret that Dan and his partner hadn't even told the world yet which has him excited (and scared) for the future.

The second guest is Bert McCracken from The Used who set up shop in Australia six years go to raise his two daughters and from all accounts he's become accustomed to life down under dropping C*Bombs more frequently than normal. He's also on deck to discuss how he still loves playing music from way back in the band's emo catalogue and what the band's setlist will include during their slow on the festival.

We're also playing tracks from bands featuring on the lineup including the brand new one for BABYMETAL. There's also some side news about Static-X and the new album they're working on PLUS a BRAND SPANKIN' new song from AFI.

Episode #26 feat. Travis Clark of We The Kings

Episode #26 feat. Travis Clark of We The Kings

There are two types of people. Those who love pop punk and everything that comes along with it and those who are wrong. A genre full of fun filled memories, growth and development relatability and albums which stand the test of time and cement themselves as some of the best soundtracks to your life. That last statement can be said for the band our next guest fronts who are about to embark on an Anniversary Tour of Australia where they'll not only play that debut album in full, but also feature new tracks from their forthcoming release. We The Kings are the band and Travis Clark is the legend joining us for Episode #26 of Wall of Sound: Up Against The Wall.

Even though their debut self-titled album has become such an iconic legacy for the group of musicians, Travis still can't come to terms with the fact fans compare it to the workings of other bands such as blink-182, Jimmy Eat World and Coldplay. He also delves into his newfound world of fatherhood and reveals that no matter how much of a big time famous musicians he is portrayed to be, he's immediately brought back down to earth when he has to change nappies and do Daddy duties when he's not on tour.

Speaking of pop punk, there's plenty of throwbacks to the 2000's era of that genre with tracks from New Found Glory, Good Charlotte, Cobra Starship, Boys Like Girls, Paramore, Hey Monday, The Maine and Panic! @ The Disco + another contribution for our new segment 'Two Songs That Changed Me' featuring a pop punk loving photographer with a keen ear for great music.
