Corey Taylor Opens Up About His "Complete & Utter Breakdown" + MORE

Welcome to the latest episode of "Hard N Heavy Headlines with Emmy Mack," the ultimate destination for all things rock and metal. In this episode, we dive deep into the world of hard rock and heavy metal, bringing you the most exciting and controversial stories from the industry. First up, we discuss Corey Taylor's candid revelations about his mental health struggles. The Slipknot frontman, fresh from his Australian tour at Good Things Festival, has made the difficult decision to cancel several international solo tour dates to prioritize self-care. Taylor's transparency sheds light on the often-overlooked mental health challenges faced by artists, sparking a mixed reaction from fans.

Next, we delve into the heated exchange between David Lee Roth and Eddie Van Halen's son, Wolfgang. Roth, the iconic former Van Halen frontman, has released a scathing YouTube video accusing Wolfgang of nepotism and attention-seeking behavior, including a shocking incident involving two female accountants at a Van Halen show.

In the realm of Aussie metalcore, we're excited to bring you news of two massive collaborations. Northlane has teamed up with Winston McCall of Parkway Drive for their new song "Miasma," while Alpha Wolf has joined forces with actor, rapper, and Body Count frontman Ice-T for their explosive track "Sucks 2 Suck."

Finally, we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Alice in Chains' seminal 1994 EP, 'Jar of Flies.' The band has announced a deluxe box set reissue, including a super limited LP option featuring actual flies embedded in it – a collector's item that's sure to sell out fast.

Chapter 326 - "The More You Put In, The More You Get Out" ...as read by Lucas Woodland of Holding Absence

Today I’m stoked to share my chat with Lucas Woodland, frontman for Holding Absence. Holding Absence just released their incredible split ep with Alpha Wolf called The Lost & The Longing. Holding Absence also released an amazing record in 2021 called The Greatest Mistake Of My Life! Lucas talks about his experience in the choir in Wales, joining Holding Absence, not wanting the pandemic to define their 2021 release and how that influenced releasing a split ep, and the musical direction that is driving the band.

Episode #98 feat. Jake Taylor of In Hearts Wake

Episode #98 feat. Jake Taylor of In Hearts Wake

In the wake of all of this COVID-19 pandemic, bands have persevered and stuck to their guns with releasing the music they've been working hard on for all of us to appreciate, but none hits harder than what In Hearts Wake have been making for their latest album Kaliyuga which is set for release next week. The boys have been trying to tell us for years that we need to make changes in our lives to save the earth and now, they're screaming harder to get their point across.

On this week's episode we're joined by frontman Jake Taylor who sheds light on the current climate crisis which he has been an advocate for, for a number of years now and how the window for change is closing. The best way to get his point out was to scream it on their new album, which also features a sample of globally recognised activist Greta Thunberg, which hits harder than expected.

Jake also talks about our misunderstood heavy music scene, getting off the grid and in touch with nature (something we should all do at some point) and the crossroads he and former girlfriend Georgia Flood reached in their relationship which resulted in one of Kaliyuga's most hard hitting tracks.

Podcast host Browny also takes time out to give you all a Mental Health Check with everything going on in the world, offering advice and playing helpful tracks from bands like The Devil Wears Prada, The Amity Affliction, Polaris and Make Them Suffer to get you motivated to make positive changes in your life.

There's also New Music from Alpha Wolf, Spiritbox, Strange Fiction and Poppy + heaps more!
