    Ep. 330 | 9mm vs 10mm — Bear Defense Breakdown

Ep. 327 | The 30-30 Winchester — Is Grandpa Still Right?

Back from the range, Mark Boardman and Ryan Muckenhirn continue their evaluation of the good old 30-30 Winchester. With bullet-extracting tools in hand, they circle the wagons on the gel blocks and pull projectiles for the rest of the story.

Ep. 325 | Gunpowder — An Explosive Podcast with Chris Hodgdon

Hunting, recreational shooting, self-defense, law enforcement, military conflict — gunpowder was there. It shaped our country, kept us alive, and keeps us safe today. But how much thought have you put into this nearly magical substance? Chris Hodgdon from the Hodgdon Powder Company joins Mark Boardman and Ryan Muckenhirn to chat about all things gunpowder.

Episode 28. Bryan Veliz and the Relaunch of Slytac Training

Bryan Veliz is back and this time under the relaunched banner of his own company SlyTac Training. And as you have come to expect, we hit him with the hard questions up front: "What is up with names of your classes?" In all seriousness, Bryan is one of the most legit instructors we get to work with and just a solid human being. In town for his class "SOLO" - which we hosted at the Covered 6 facility in Moorpark, CA - we talk about the class, how the relaunch of his company is going and about our own personal training as we were fresh off a training day together constantly pushing to get better.

Bryan began his career as a state law enforcement officer in in 2012 serving as an active patrol officer for several years. After being assigned as a member of his agency's Special Response team where he was responsible for conducting firearms training and qualifications, as well as the instruction of both pistol and carbine weapons platforms, Bryan launched SlyTac Training to share his passion for teaching and improvement. Bryan then joined Centrifuge training where he taught until the end of 2022 and relaunched SlyTac Training.
