Christmas Collaboration between Angel Tree and CEF Christmas Party Clubs
If your church participates in Angel Tree, a ministry of Prison Fellowship, to deliver gifts to children of prisoners, there's a way to enhance that ministry by having your local CEF chapter hold a Christmas Party Club for the children and their families. Hear testimony from Beth Lamb who coordinates both ministries in her church in Sioux City, IA. Larry Carmichael- Happy Holidays with the Salvation Army!

Larry Carmichael is a Lieutenant with the Salvation Army. Larry and I talk about the Red Kettles you see around your community during the holidays, where the money you donate goes, and how it goes to help people in YOUR community. We also talk about how the Salvation Army serves communities around the world through out the rest of the year. Larry finishes our conversation with an interesting challenge for this holiday season and 2020.

Salvation Army's Treasures for Children/Angel Tree Program

Salvation Army's Treasures for Children/Angel Tree Program
Joyce welcomes The Salvation Army’s Treasures for Children Coordinator to the show. The Salvation Army's Treasures for Children program (Allegheny County, Pittsburgh, PA) strives to consistently provide hope and joy to families, especially children, in need at the most wonderful and blessed time of the year. Known in other regions of The Salvation Army as the Angel Tree Program, Treasures for Children provides a personal experience for the donors because they are able to choose a specific child in need, represented on a tag. The Salvation Army is able to identify families in need of assistance through its Worship and Service Centers and other community organizations.

    Angel Tree

    Angel Tree
Every Christmas in the small town of Pine River, a tree appears in the town square - the Angel Tree. Some people tie wishes to the tree, while others make those wishes come true. Nobody's ever known where the tree comes from, but the mystery has always been part of the tradition's charm. This year, however, four kids who have been helped - Lucy, Joe, Max, and Cami - are determined to solve the mystery and find out the true identity of the town's guardian angel so that Pine River can finally thank the person who brought the Angel Tree to their town.
