Nici o săptămână fără ELon Musk, nu? Parcă omul acesta este pe buzele tuturor de vreo doi ani, și pe bună dreptate. Și astăzi vorbim despre el în Curiosity, pentru că nu trebuie să ratezi interviul lui Sandy Munro despre Tesla și despre Cybertruck. 

În rest, lucruri normale ca GTA 6, noile Oneplus 12 și avansul inteligenței artificiale la Google, Microsoft, Facebook și chiar Amazon. Între timp AMD și Nvidia se luptă pentru titlul de cel mai mare producător de plăci grafice pentru Inteligența Artificială și IBM se bate cot la cot cu Amazon, Google și Facebook pentru cel mai puternic computer cuantic, construit tot pentru Inteligența Artificială. Cred că ești sătul de termenul acesta, dar așa se întâmplă în fiecare revoluție industrială.

Mă gândesc cu entuziasm la momentul în care am pus la calea această emisiune. DIn curiozitate pentru tehnologie, pentru știință și spațiu, pentru mașini și crypto, și în special pentru toate lucrurile interesante despre care citeam în fiecare săptămână.

Nu știam ce să fac cu atâtea informații, și nu doream să le țin doar pentru mine. Vorbeam cu colegii despre noile lansări, despre mașina aia nouă sau despre tehnologia aceea care va revoluționa viitorul. Așa a luat naștere Curiosity, de voie dar și de nevoie, și cu cel mai mare drag realizăm această emisiune în fiecare sâmbătă pentru voi.

Bine te-am regăsit la o nouă ediție Curiosity, emisiunea noastră preferată cu știri din toate domeniile de interes pentru noi cei pasionați de tehnologie, știință, inteligență artificială, crypto, și mașini. 

Avem știri pentru toate gusturile și preferințele, de la noutăți despre Snoop Dogg la BMW i5 și iPhone 16, până la scandalul OpenAI care recent a fost pe buzele tuturor.

Am vorbit și despre noile modificări din codul rutier, despre Black Friday de pe Amazon și gadget-urile pe care le urmărim și noi și despre spam-ul de pe Google din ultima vreme. Apropo, indiferent ce ai citi pe internet, Tim Cook nu pleacă nicăieri, are planuri complexe despre succesiune. Ne povestește chiar Dua Lipa despre asta. 

Nothing Phone era să o facă lată cu programul lor de iMessage pentru Android, avem noutăți despre Oneplus 12 și Honor 100, iar Meze lansează o nouă pereche de căști Hig-End, Empyrean 2. 

Între timp, Sony Playstation intră într-un proces de 8 miliarde de dolari în UK, iar pe cealaltă parte inovează și aduce o nouă metodă de protecție pentru drepturile de autor ale fotografilor. Cryptografia e baza și aici. 

Bună dimineața și bine te-am regăsit la o nouă ediție Curiosity, plină de știri din tehnologie, spațiu, știință, gadget-uri transparente și brazi de crăciun. Ne apropiem cu pași repezi de sărbătoarea preferată a tuturor și mai mult de atât, de ediția cu numărul 200 din Curiosity, emisiune noastră preferată de tehnologie.

Astăzi avem pe lista de ordine oxigenul de pe marte, leul scăpat în Italia care se plimbă curios pe străzi, vă spunem ce am mai testat în ultima vreme, cum să îți pornești PC-ul de pe telefon de la distanță, ce se mai întâmplă cu vulcanul din Islanda care face ravagii în orașele mici de acolo. 

Google face bani cu sacul încât plătește miliarde la Samsung ca serviciile lor să fie instalate prioritar pe telefoane, tot Google își schimbă puțin design-ul browserului său, și iPhone-ul va permite de la începutul anului viitor să instalezi aplicații din alte surse decât AppStore. Ce bine că trăim în Uniunea Europeană.

Bine te-am regăsit la o nouă ediție a podcast-ului nostru preferat de tehnologie, știință și spațiu. Astăzi ne facem de cap cu știri de pe tot globul, cu toate lucrurile interesante pe care le-am găsit în ultima săptămână pe interneți.

Începem desigur cu mema săptămânii, sau meme-urile că azi sunt mai multe. Continuăm cu țeapa cu care te poți confrunta în momentul în care cumperi o placă grafice de pe wish, și discutăm noile concedieri din domeniul IT. Avocații cu Inteligență Artificială nu mai au voie în sala de judecată, avem un robot din Terminator 2 care își poate schimba forma și un asteroid care se apropie cam mult de frumoasa noastră Terra.

What's up, all you nerdy, dirty geeks! My co-host, Carla Stiles, gives her feedback on the topic of the battle of text messaging.

So the question of why are some SMS green and some blue?

If your iPhone messages are green, it means that they're being sent as SMS text messages rather than as iMessages, which appear in blue. iMessages only work between Apple users. You'll always see green when writing to Android users or when not connected to the internet. 

Did you know iMessage works exclusively between Apple devices? This only means if you have an iPhone, and so does the person you're texting, the message will be sent over iMessage. 

Google has started a public fight with Apple over the "green bubbles" that appear when users message each other. When two iPhones message each other, their texts appear blue; if someone receives a message from an Android user, they show as green. 

Google accused Apple of exploiting 'peer pressure and bullying' for a profit with its blue and green iMessage bubbles. 

iPhone users exchange messages using iMessage and text messages appear in blue bubbles, whereas messages sent to iPhones from Google's Android mobile operating system display in green.

The texts are compatible with a broader range of phones and receiving services than blue iMessage texts for green messages. 

So the battle of securing your text messages is the key vs a bubble color. 

We review the standard SMS/MMS text messaging through your service provider is not no encrypted and sent of networks which makes it easier for criminals to intercept the data.  

Google has announced that end-to-end encryption is rolling out to users of Google Messages, Android's default SMS and RCS app.
