Michael Cremo: Science Meets the Vedas

Michael Cremo: Science Meets the Vedas
Join PTA Hosts Neil Gaur, Alan Steinfeld and Joan of Angels as we interview forbidden archeologist Michael Cremo, on what happens when Science Meets the Vedas. Michael Cremo, also known as the ‘forbidden archeologist’, is hailed as a groundbreaking research pioneer and international authority on archeological anomalies. His landmark bestseller, Forbidden Archeology, first published in 1993, already translated into 26 languages, challenged the very foundation of Darwinian evolution. Michael continues to “dig up” enigmatic discoveries in the fossil record and “shake up” accepted paradigms, exploring famous archeological sites around the world, journeying to sacred places in India, appearing on national television shows in the United States or other countries, lecturing at mainstream science conferences, or speaking to alternative gatherings of global intelligentsia. As he crosses disciplinary and cultural boundaries, he presents to his various audiences a compelling case for negotiating a new consensus on the nature of reality. He is a member of the World Archeological Congress and the European Association of Archaeologists as well as a research associate in history and philosophy of science for the Bhaktivedanta Institute. Episode 39: Digging up the past with Dr. Matt Rooney

Episode 39: Digging up the past with Dr. Matt Rooney

This week Dan and Ian dig in with Archaeologist, Dr. Matt Rooney .

We had alot of questions and he was more than happy to answer them.

Like, anything discovered, even their trash can tell the history of the land and the people who lived in a particular location.

We more importantly talk about his work with the Chickasaw Explorer program, which brings a group of young Chickasaw leaders every year to their ancestral homelands to participate in archeological investigations and become immersed in Chickasaw heritage at their historic and cultural sites.

It was a fascinating discussion that we are sure you will enjoy and possibly make you want to explore the history of your own backyard!

Death, Disfigurement, and One Verbal Warning

Death, Disfigurement, and One Verbal Warning

Ancient Egypt was well known for its zero-tolerance policy when it came to scandal and murder; especially with the murder of Pharaoh Ramses III. Elizabeth and Megan go back to one of the most archaic execution stories in history, using the evidence found from mummies to reveal what really happened in Ramses' harem. Don't worry, at least one person gets off with just a stern warning.
