    When Art Meets Dogs

    When Art Meets Dogs

In episode 9, I welcome my guests Olivia Ting and Annette Jannotta to talk about their friendship, collaboration and mutual love of animals. Annette is an architect having worked in San Francisco and Singapore, now residing in Seattle. Olivia is a graphic designer and sound artist living in San Francisco and often caring for her friends’ pets. Together they are a hybrid artist-architect team exploring multi-sensory experiences; creating site-specific art installations that inspire connection, community, and curiosity. Their upcoming project, Sonic Dogness, is an artistic, sonic “shrine” celebrating our relationships with our canine friends. Located at The Albany Bulb in the San Francisco Bay Area, the installation will be kicked-off with an event featuring local pups and their humans on July 17th. To learn more about the installation and upcoming event, visit their website at: https://www.sonicdogness.com/

In this episode we also discussed the Berkeley Shelter and The Friends of Berkeley Shelter, both organizations focused on animal welfare and care in the San Francisco Bay Area. To learn more about them, visit their website and social media accounts linked below.
