Birgitta Ulfsson läser utdrag ur flera Arto Paasilinnas romaner. Paasilinna skrev över 30 romaner med titlar som "Harens år", "Kollektivt självmord" och "Den ylande mjölnaren". Den här intervjun gjordes i samband med att boken "Nio drömmar" gavs ut i svensk översättning av Camilla Frostell.

David Byrne's self-titled album is a personal moment in his creative history, but do his lyrics have meaning? Or do they simply dredge up emotions for the listener? Also, how does an album that's this diverse have such a white, middle class identity associated with it?

On today's episode I talk to guitarist and composer Arto Lindsay. Born in America, Arto grew up in Brazil while the Tropicalia movement was in full swing, and moved back to the states to attend college. Eventually moving to New York, Arto formed the important no wave band DNA in the 1970s, and since then has been part of so many amazing bands and made so much great music that it's tough to discuss it all. Some highlights include being part of John Lurie's The Lounge Lizards, working with John Zorn, forming The Ambitious Lovers, collaborating with Caetano Veloso, and much more. Recently, Northern Spy Records released The Encyclopedia of Arto Lindsay, a two-disc retrospective of his career.
