Ep 101 - The Big Gun Show

Ep 101 - The Big Gun Show

Welcome back to Sound Pollution, we appreciate you. So, this episode is a little late due to Raynelle’s minor medical emergency (She is fine now, just slower than usual). That said we are going to shift our episode drop days from Tuesdays to Sunday Evenings. We are very excited to be moving closer to our live shows in October and there will be LOTS more changes and updates during the month of August. The July Music Only Episode Drops this Wednesday night on streaming services. However, it drops tonight on Patreon.

This week we have the absolute pleasure of learning all about The Big Gun show. We will be discussing recent releases, how The Big Gun Show came to be, songwriting, Chopsticks, inspirations, first concerts, and of course the stories behind three tracks. We will also learn all about his own podcast, My Top 5 Records,  https://open.spotify.com/show/7sInzygDn9fVgw9t23NNoo?si=68059be331ce430f

Which is allot of fun to listen to, especially if you’re a music fan. As always, we share a few laughs and some slightly dry and dark humor. Maybe a little more than normal because Gunter and Uncle Brent go back a little way’s, and Raynelle was imbibing “Red, Red, Wiiiine”. We had so much fun in this interview, we think you will too. My new normal isn’t very normal and I am just trying to navigate through it all. This week I got to have a great interview with Thumper Salyer of RMA. Thumper Salyer has been in music most of his life. Growing up in a musical family in southwest Virginia, Thumper began playing live shows as a child. Coupled with his vast knowledge of music history, Thumper quickly became one of the premier artists in the region. Ep10 - Wild Man Pebo Wilson
Hello again everybody, welcome to this episode Sound Pollution. This episode features Wild Man Pebo Wilson, a successful independent artist with an intense stage shows that feature pyrotechnics, and the occasional snake. (Before I start receiving hate mail, no animals are injured in his stage performances.) Mr. Wilson is a wonderful storyteller with a slow, thick, southern drawl that pulls his listeners into whatever he is singing or talking about. It will be no different in this episode, and he does have a few crazy stories to share, as well as some sage advice for the up and coming musician. Lastly, he tells us about two of his wonderful tracks, Playing With Fire https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NoC9Qsf22CA and I Drink Alone https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y5fjrhylBpY. Ep8 - Eric Worley

    Ep8 - Eric Worley
Welcome back to Sound Pollution. I got the delight of interviewing singer, songwriter and new father, Eric Worley. We will be discussing the usual, inspirations, where he comes from etc. As well as 2 songs; Aint A Love Song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPdovN6iSJE and How Did We Get This Way https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1rFXq8M_2Z8 He also plays another one of his songs for the podcast so make sure you listen to all of the Episode. Eric Worley is with Rockhouse Music Alliance https://www.facebook.com/rockhousemusicalliance/ Eric is one of few artists that has the ability to make every song he plays fit his style. Eric conforms to no standard other than his own. He creates a refreshing trip back in time before all country songs sounded the same, were based on partying in a field, and driving on a dirt road. If you are a true country fan, Eric Worley is your next favorite artist. He grew up in southwest Virginia and has shown an amazing talent for singing and songwriting going back to his teenage years. His unique songwriting style features skillfully planned lyrics, a catchy melody, and a delivery that is all his own. Eric doesn’t sound like anyone else; he sounds like himself https://www.facebook.com/ericworleymusic/. I am doing a bit more talking in this episode than usual, partly because Eric is so quiet, and partly because though I want to keep it professional I need to have more of a voice on this podcast. Coincidentally, I have a little bitty (just a min or so) PSA at the end of this episode. Lastly, I am currently updating the Website and YouTube over the week, so if they look weird to you or your unable to find something, please be patient and be kind. Remember to keep supporting Independent Musicians and to make some noise.
