Continuing traditions is big for most families, and our first guest did so in a huge way by opening Iron Oven in Southampton, PA. Alex Nalbandian grew up learning the restaurant industry from his parent's well-known business, Rising Sun Pizzeria. Years later, Alex took over the management of his parents restaurant, furthering his familiarity with the industry, managing staff, and running a business. Nine years later, Alex was Inspired to open his own restaurant, and opened Iron Oven. Now, you can look forward to biting into their most popular item--Philly's beloved Cheesesteak, or chow down on one of their burgers, pizzas, or strombolis.

39 - Everyday is Taco Tuesday: Celebrating 35 Years of Wahoo's Fish Tacos

Do you love tacos??  Of course you do!  Everyone loves tacos and for Wing Lam, co-founder of restaurant chain Wahoo's Fish Tacos, he was able to take his love of tacos, surfing, and people to create a completely fulfilling life!

First opening in Costa Mesa, CA in 1988, Wahoo's is celebrating 35 years of their tasty Asian fusion fresh fish taco.  Listen in to learn how Wing and his two brothers were able to take their laidback, surfer vibes beyond Southern California to create the cultural phenomena that is Wahoo's Fish Tacos!

    About Wahoo’s Fish Tacos

It was 1988 when we, the Lee brothers, came together to open the first Wahoo’s Tacos in Costa Mesa, California, where the surf and skate industry had gathered.

We wanted to create a menu that was a reflection of our unique heritage. From China to Brazil, to Baja with hints of Greece, our bold, fresh flavors come from our memories of growing up in Brazil, surfing in Baja and working in our family’s Chinese restaurant.

Our food is true to this experience, worldly and uncommonly delicious. We’ll always offer you the best of where we’ve been to fuel your adventures.

At Wahoo’s, we encourage you to nourish yourself with food and experiences that make you feel more alive. So, ride those waves, care for your community, love what you eat every day, and be authentically you. Our family is here to feed yours.
