The 53rd installment of our educational wrestling journey has taken us to the episode of NXT that originally aired on May 22nd, 2014, which means we have officially covered our first full year of wrestling! This is also the closest thing we have to a 2nd anniversary episode, and we're celebrating with the very first Takeover go-home show! Or rather...the BO-home show! Our coverage includes:

We're back with episode number three.  We are talking about the short lived Clerks cartoon. The guests this time are Kyle aka @KyleNotGuile and Joe Sposto aka Leonard F Chikarason. We talk about what went into getting this show on TV and why it was only there for a very short time. Has some of it aged poorly? Why yes, yes it has. We're back with episode number two and this time we're talking about Mallrats. The guests for this episode are Pat from PodVanDam and Kit Parsons aka Magnum CK. We dive into the story of how this movie was brought to life and how different the end product was from the original vision. We talk about our favorite things from the film and if any of us were able to see the damn sailboat. 

Askew One has painted since the 90s using whatever spray cans he could get his hands on, with no concerns about his respiratory health or environmental footprint, until a thunderclap headache knocked him down and set him on course to consider the impacts of the products he was using. 

He discusses economically smarter ways to paint, as well as how artists, paint manufacturers and festival curators can take a more environmentally conscious approach to beautifying our world.

The first episode of a new series on the Superfantastic feed covering most of the movies Kevin Smith has made. This induction ceremony features a conversation with Rilla Askew and Teresa Miller. Special guest P.C. Cast, who is a number one New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, introduces Rilla and Teresa and explains why Teresa has been instrumental to her successful writing career.

Teresa Miller is the author of Remnants of Glory, Family Correspondence, and Means of Transit: A Slightly Embellished Memoir. She contributed an essay honoring her friend Pat Conroy titled, “Pat Conroy and Telephone Noir,” in Our Prince of Scribes: Writers Remember Pat Conroy, and is the co-editor of the anthology, Love Can Be: A Literary Collection about Our Animals. Many people also know Teresa for her literary activism. She is the founder of the Oklahoma Center for Poets and Writers and started the Center’s Celebration of Books event. She hosted the beloved OETA television series “Writing Out Loud,” and interviewed such luminaries as Maya Angelou, Edward Albee, and Isabel Allende. Teresa shares stories about her writing life and about the many writers she has crossed paths with over the years, including Harper Lee and Billie Letts.

Lindsey and Emily chat with Teresa and Rilla about the importance of friendship, the ever-changing publishing industry, and the necessity of taking part in one’s literary community.

We also discuss the importance of finding your target job in order to secure a role which makes you happy, content and impactful and also talk about things like resolutions, reflecting on what you’ve done so far and where you want to go next.
