Episode 471: Skirted Trolling Lures With Peter Pakula
Peter Pakula is a genuine legend of the bluewater fishing scene and a man full of surprises. For example, he shared that these days he'd probably rather be flicking flies than bluewater trolling. Nonetheless, he's famous for being at the cutting edge of bluewater trolling lures design and has a string of tournament wins, awards and other success far too numerous to mention here. I spent a very pleasant hour chatting with Peter about how to get the best from skirted trolling lures.

Episode 442: Soft Plastic Lure Hacks 101 With Greg Vinall

Whether you fish for bream or barra and anything in between, soft plastic lures can be a deadly option at times. In today's episode I take the opportunity to talk through a few details of how I use soft plastic lures, not so much in terms of species and techniques, but a few "hacks" that can help get results wherever you fish. We'll cover repairing softies, modifying them and a few rigging tips that you might not have heard before. Plus a versatile system that allows me to quickly adapt to changing conditions when casting weighted soft plastics.

Episode 441: Port Sorell King George Whiting With Jarvis Wall

Episode 441: Port Sorell King George Whiting With Jarvis Wall

King George Whiting occasionally turn up as a very welcome bycatch in the bags of southern lure fishers targeting bream, flathead and other bread and butter species, but until recent years they have been considered a genuine lure fishing prospect. Tasmanian young gun Jarvis Wall is one of a handful of anglers who are rewriting the rules on KGW, consistently catching them on lures across Tassie's north. Today we're focussing on fishing for them from Port Sorell and the adjacent coastline.
