BYU Football Enjoys 'Really Good Day 1' As Tight Ends Shine Early

The BYU Cougars opened spring camp Thursday in Provo on the campus of Brigham Young University (BYU) and the BYU football program saw the thgith end position shine and Jake Hatch came away impressed with their offerings from a number of the guys making up the position group with Keanu Hill and Ryner Swanson making the most waves.

Jake then ran down the position changes that are inevitable with spring camp as a handful of BYU players will work out at new spots on the field while several others changed their numbers in the offseason, but the bigger sense is that Kalani Sitake's program feels like they have a hunger to bounce back from a poor 2023 showing in the Big 12 Conference.

Finally, the show wrapped up with some pointed criticism Jake has for the Southeastern Conference and Big Ten Conference as the two leagues continue to demand more and more from their NCAA counterparts all the while threatening to tear down the sport of college football if they don't get their way with the College Football Playoff set up etc.

A conversation about the screenwriter of the defunct Obi-Wan Kenobi movie’s contribution to the Disney+ series turns into a broader discussion about fandoms, social identities, and the mass market. Then, the Nuts discuss another rabid fandom: college football fans. The Nuts discuss conference realignment, the implications for college sports, the rise and fall of collegiate conferences, and the big money media giants driving the changes. Finally, the Nuts imagine what the future of college sports might look like given the influence of audience tastes.
