441: Power of Imagination with Sorcha Ni Fhlainn and Karmel Knipprath

In Episode 441 of the Clive Barker Podcast, do we get a little over our heads with acedemic discourse of Clive Barker?  It’s possible but we love it. We talk to Dr Sorcha Ni Fhlainn and Karmel Knipparth of Manchester Metropolitan University about Clive Barker in a gothic context, and the experience of creating a feature for the Hellraiser Quartet of Torment “Power of Imagination”.   How many of us wish they had courses like this for us when we were in College?

Rockcast 235 - Brandon Saller of Atreyu
It's here!!! Atreyu's new album 'Baptize' is now out. You may remember singer Brandon Saller joined Kaytie and I awhile back to go through the process of Brandon becoming the lead singer instead of drummer/singer for Atreyu. The results of that move is now upon us with their latest album. Featuring a genuine hit song with "Warrior" and guests like Travis Barker and Matt Heafy it's a pretty fantastic record. Oh and they are surprising us with an acoustic performance.

#135/WestEdge Design Fair: Epic Spaces + Favorite Places

#135/WestEdge Design Fair: Epic Spaces + Favorite Places

Each fall, there’s a cool art and design gathering called WestEdge Design Fair in Santa Monica.  It’s held in the Barker Hanger, an enormous space at the Santa Monica airport.  This year, USModernist's George Smart moderated two panels with some of the most well-known designers from around America and the UK. What you’re about to hear is one of those panels, Epic Spaces and Favorite Places, with guests Tom Parker, Alison Pickart, David Thompson, John McClain, and Massimo Buster Minale. This is a rebroadcast of Josh Cooperman’s Convo by Design, the official podcast of WestEdge, which recorded the panel.  Many thanks to Josh and WestEdge for allowing us to share this with you directly.  Enjoy!
