Talking Siakam, Joshua Primo with agent Todd Ramasar

Were the offseason trade rumors around Pascal Siakam legitimate, or was it just a lot of media speculation gone wild? How did Alabama guard Joshua Primo vault up to the No. 12 pick and surprise pundits? NBC Sports' Kurt Helin asked the agent for both men, Todd Ramasar, about all that, plus they talk draft prep for players, some Thomas Bryant, and even a little Baron Davis.

Ep20: Top 5 Golden State Warriors w/ Brendon Freeman

Ep20: Top 5 Golden State Warriors w/ Brendon Freeman

Missing basketball during this social distancing/shelter in place era? Yeah, me too!

I brought my dear, dear friend Brendon Freeman back on the pod to count down our top 5 Golden State Warriors. We're local Bay Area boys, and the Warriors are our team. Without current hoops, it was a lot of fun to talk about some of our favorite players in the history of the franchise.

Ranging from the 1950s up until today's current era - we break down and discuss who we picked and why. We also share a little bit of our history with the Warriors, why and how we became fans.

Talkin a little HOOPS on All the Things w/ Joelone - Episode 20!!

Lebron James and Chris Paul's Dominance in Perspective

Lebron James and Chris Paul's Dominance in Perspective

Matt Stroup and Steve Alexander look at 15-plus years of fantasy (and real-life) dominance from LeBron James and Chris Paul, who have both pulled off the insane feat of being early-round fantasy players in 2005 and 2020. LeBron and CP3 also become the jumping-off point for a discussion on whether we should avoid players who are over 30, with Shawn Marion, Gerald Wallace, Gilbert Arenas and Chris Webber all serving to varying degrees as cautionary tales.

The Year in Fantasy Basketball: 2003-04

The Year in Fantasy Basketball: 2003-04

With no new box scores to follow, and with the NBA season — as well as our fantasy leagues — all on indefinite hold due to the coronavirus, Matt Stroup and Steve Alexander hop into the fantasy hoops time machine to revisit the 2003-04 season. We discuss the dominance of Kevin Garnett, the surprising excellence of Peja Stojakovic, Andrei Kirilenko's remarkable production and some vintage greatness from Tracy McGrady, Kobe Bryant and Ray Allen. It was a time when Baron Davis wrecked box scores and percentages, and Donyell Marshall was very close to the top of his game.

    Paul Pierce

    Paul Pierce

It’s nothing but The Truth on this week’s episode of Knuckleheads with Quentin Richardson and Darius Miles. Celtics legend Paul Pierce talks growing up a Cali baller, from sneaking into the club with Snoop to his coach flying Kevin Garnett in on a jet for the championship — Cali AAU ball is no joke. Then the guys chat about how it really feels to hear your name called on draft night. Q and D ask Paul what it was like to beat the Lakers in 2008, leading to The Truth’s story about flaunting an MVP trophy in an L.A. restaurant, only to be humbled a few years later by a kid in a Johnny Rockets. Paul gives credit to the true unsung heroes of the game, naming some of the most underrated players from his time in the league. The trio compares the fiercely competitive culture of their playing days to the new generation’s chummy eagerness to swap jerseys and do business together. Darius shares a cautionary tale about taking it easy on Zo, an approach which hilariously backfired. Then the three get real about life in the league and the sacrifices that came with it, and Paul talks about what he feels when he sees his jersey up in the rafters of TD Garden alongside those of other Celtic greats. But the Knuckleheads couldn’t let The Truth head out before getting the low down on that time Paul hit the game winner at MSG that ended with Nate Robinson on the floor. And, of course, Quentin and Paul squash an old beef — it’s all respect out here on Knuckleheads.

    Ron Artest

    Ron Artest

It’s Tuesday and you know what that means: Knuckleheads back for Episode 2. Ron Artest — aka “Ron Ron,” aka “Metta World Peace” — joins the fellas to talk about everything from growing up in Queens, to playing on one of the greatest AAU teams ever, to winning an NBA championship. Ron keeps it real about growing up in the hood and explains why he is a true New Yorker at heart. He also discusses his two years at St. John’s before talking with Darius about what could have been if Darius hadn’t skipped college and instead played for the Red Storm. Artest then divulges how upset he became after he accidentally broke Michael Jordan’s ribs the first time the two met. Funny enough, the same week he met MJ in summer league, Artest also knocked down a 14-year-old LeBron James when he drove in the paint. The three then reminisce about Artest’s time with the Pacers, and why he thinks the Indiana team he was on with Reggie Miller and Jermaine O’Neal was the best he ever played for — and why he feels responsible for not getting Reggie a title. Artest then talks about going from small-market teams to big-market teams and why he felt so mentally clear once he got to the Lakers. He then talks about winning the championship in 2010, and explains the feelings he had getting on the podium. The show wraps up with the three men talking about New York, and Ron shares his thoughts on the Melo situation. Ron Artest, one of the toughest defenders to ever do it, is the focus of another can’t-miss episode.
