Snyder's story was portrayed in a Netflix biopic Walk. Ride. Rodeo., released on March 8, 2019. She performed all the post-crash horse stunts in the film. Because of the similarity of their riding styles, her younger sister Autumn performed the pre-crash stunts. She also made a brief appearance as herself in the 3rd season of Yellowstone

    Ep 145: The End

    Ep 145: The End

This wasn’t something I had planned at all, but it is something I know with my heart and soul is the right thing to do. It’s not just for me, but for you too. This is the end of the Rider’s Mind Podcast and the beginning of something new. Rider Mindset work is just a sliver of what I can offer you and moving forward, I look forward to leading you in a more expansive way (that will still help you with your rider mindset, but so much more).

    Ep 144: Two Good Things

    Ep 144: Two Good Things

We are wired for negativity so we must make an intentional effort to rewire or override that programming. It is easy to declare a “bad ride” even when 90% of it actually went really well. In this episode I share the Two Good Things habit that will help you get more of the good things from every ride.

    Ep 143: Your Inner Authority

    Ep 143: Your Inner Authority

In this episode I encourage you to get intune with your own knowing. Stop giving away your power to someone else while betraying your own knowing. It’s excellent to ask for help and seek out professional opinions, just get clear on what feels good and not good to you, so you know which opinions, methods (and facts) to adopt as your own.

There are many reasons why it is difficult to trust yourself and I discuss some of them in this episode.

Ep 142: It’s Not About You

Ep 142: It’s Not About You

In this episode Michelle talks about how at any given equine event, we are all dealing with something. Many of us are packing past trauma and dysregulated nervous systems so it’s a wonder there aren't more “words” shared at events. Being considerate of what others are going through, but also recognizing when you’ve been out of line, can go a long way.

Ep 140: Ride Well with Kathlyn Hossack

In episode 140 of the Rider's Mind Podcast we have a special guest Kathlyn Hossack with RideWell Performance, Kathlyn has been helping me with my own riding and it's opened a lot of doors to discovery and awareness within my own body and we have her here today to help explain some of that and what's been creating the results from the inside out. We talk about the nervous system, we talk about somatics, the female cycle, how it impacts your riding. Kathlyn brings a lot of experience from a lot of different areas of expertise that I think will lend itself well to our understanding of our body and how it impacts our riding.

    Ep 138: Forcing vs. Flow

    Ep 138: Forcing vs. Flow

Today I talk about how forcing things, trying to make things happen, trying to control situations is really something that we could benefit from getting away from. We see that in our rides and runs that any time we try to make a horse do something that doesn't work out for us. Whenever we try to control an outcome, whether it's in a relationship or in business, we usually learn lessons around that. So let's talk about this particular lesson today about how, when we force things, trying to make things happen generally doesn't turn out that well for us (and what to do instead).

    Ep 137: Growing Pains

    Ep 137: Growing Pains

Those of us on a personal growth journey, a journey to a more mindful life, to better health and wellness know it’s not an easy road. There is work that needs to be done and it does not always feel easy. Sometimes we may end up questioning why we're doing this. It was just easier to live in our heads. Ignorance was bliss. It was easier to not know, and this journey of self growth can come with its challenges. It comes with its hills, it comes with its valleys, and I want to talk about those valleys today. And hopefully, if you are in a valley, this will give you some inspiration, to have some grace with yourself and to have patience as you work through and you wait for your opportunity to take action when the time is right to move to the next level.

Ep 136: 4 Blocks Keeping You From Connecting With Your Horse

Ep 136: 4 Blocks Keeping You From Connecting With Your Horse

Simply your intention to connect and create a deeper relationship with your horse is powerful. It really is. But as you go deeper down the trail, you might come across a few blocks that are keeping you from going even deeper. I’ll be discussing 4 of these blocks that you may encounter along your journey. With a greater awareness, you can start to clear and heal any of these blocks you might resonate with.

Ep 135: Your Nerves Are Not The Enemy

Ep 135: Your Nerves Are Not The Enemy

So often we think of our nerves, our nervousness, as something super negative and something that we don't want to have. But I really want to shift your perspective on this and have you recognize that your nervous system is working for you. Once you get to know it a little better, to know how to massage this energy into something that is going to serve you well and help you achieve your ideal performance state. I think you’ll see how your nerves are not your enemy, but an energy to work with as an ally.

Ep 134: What if I fail?

Ep 134: What if I fail?

There are no winners at the pity parties, people. Let's not stay there for too long. It's okay to have big feelings. It's okay to feel like you're a complete failure, but you don't want to stay there. You will fail when you’re chasing big dreams. That’s part of life’s design. The question is: How will you handle it when you fail? Are you prepared for that?

    Ep 133: Q & A Curing A Barrel Racing Hangover

    Ep 133: Q & A Curing A Barrel Racing Hangover

I love getting questions submitted for the podcast and we have a good one today. This question was from someone suffering from “barrel racing burnout”. No matter what event you compete in, I’m sure you can relate to the feeling of being drained from doing things you love and having all kinds of feelings come up about it. Today my answer covers a lot of ground, but comes back to remembering to give yourself space and grace.

Ep 132: Becoming Aware Of The Energy You’re Subscribing To

Ep 132: Becoming Aware Of The Energy You’re Subscribing To
When we comment, text or engage in any type of conversation, whether it be in person or especially online, we are subscribing to an energy. There is an energetic thread through this conversation that we are connecting to, which is exposing us to the energy of those that we connect to. By bringing this into your awareness you’ll be better able to make an informed decision as to whether you want to “subscribe” to the energy or take a step back from a conversation that has your attention. Give this one a listen if you’d like tips on how to decide if you should chim in or not.

    Ep 131: Don’t Should Yourself

    Ep 131: Don’t Should Yourself

In this episode I bring into awareness when we're “shoulding” ourselves, when we are saying we should do things when we enter events, because everyone else is doing them, where we think that we should be there, because it's just logical and makes sense. I've got a few questions and thoughts for you to ponder today to keep tabs on when you're “shoulding yourself” and when you're actually doing things that light you up, that you truly align with.
