Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

    Hour 1

Former Titans offensive lineman and Barstool sports podcaster, Taylor Lewan, said Caleb Williams seemed ‘very full of himself’ and he ‘did not get a good vibe from Caleb Williams throughout the combine process’. Boomer believes and respects Lewan but said the Bears are still going to draft him. If you get a bad vibe from a player when you meet them in person, should you make them the face of your franchise? Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with Xavier McKinney saying he wants to stay with the Giants. Boomer said Saquon Barkley should go to the Cowboys. Gio said he should go to the Texans. Former Cowboy Dalton Schultz said Dallas was, ‘a zoo, dude’. Jerry went around the NBA last night. Jerry has audio of Jake Paul telling his dad he’s fighting Mike Tyson. In the final segment of the hour, the Red Bulls dropped off cake and hoodies and we found out Peter Schwartz had demands for his free stuff.

    Hour 2

Peter Schwartz calls in to defend himself on his demands for free stuff from the Red Bulls, and he somehow made it worse. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Xavier McKinney on with Kay Adams talking about his future with or without the Giants. Chris McMonigle went to a caller who was listening to his radio and wasn’t there. Shaq has almost 35 million followers on Instagram. Jerry had audio from Spike Eskin down at Phillies spring training. In the final segment of the hour, Saints WR Michael Thomas called a Saints reporter a ‘hoe’ on Twitter. Gio wonders if there’s a ‘hoe’ in NY sports media.

    Hour 3

Little Boomer from B&G Live called in. He’ll be appearing this weekend at a St. Patrick’s Day party as a leprechaun. Today is the NHL trade deadline and a caller wants to know what the Rangers are doing. We talked about golfers having to keep their o wn score. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Tiki Barber talking about Saquon and the Eagles. He told him to go anywhere but the Eagles. Ben Stiller was on the Roommates podcast with Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart and was asked if he ever tasted breast milk. Sal Licata and Tiki both talked about Juan Soto in interesting ways. EJ, the producer for Maggie & Perloff said when we went to the moon, they sent a message not to come back. In the final segment of the hour, there was unusual wagering before a UAB vs Temple basketball game, and it wasn’t the first time this happened with a Temple game this year.

    Hour 4

Boomer went through the list of NFL teams that currently do not have a quarterback of significance. Gio said if the Steelers bring in Russell Wilson as the rumors go, you’re bringing him in to start. Zachary and Christian from The Octopus Murders called in as we have been talking about their show. Jerry returns for an update but first we wonder how long it would take for Eddie to play every drop he has of Al. He claims to have over 3,000 drops. Eddie also played clips of Caveman Jerry. The Moment of The Day involves a Saints WR calling a Saints reporter a ‘hoe’. In the final segment of the week, Gio talked about winning the Biggest Loser of Sayville contest last year. Someone in it this year went to Gio for advice. He then saw the guy having a Guinness with tater tots.

Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

Boomer & Gio Podcast (WHOLE SHOW)

    Hour 1

Kevin Clancy, KFC from Barstool Sports, is in for Boomer today. He’s a huge Mets fan so Gio starts with the Mets offseason or lack thereof. We talked about Pete Alonso’s future with the Mets. We also talked about Frank The Tank’s Mets negativity. Mets fans were negative for so long in the Wilpon era and we all thought things would turn around in the Steve Cohen era. C-Lo is in for Jerry today and is here for his first update, but first we talked about how bad the new Fanatics/Nike uniforms are. The pants are see through, so you can see the tucked in jersey in the pants. C-Lo starts with Kodai Senga already experiencing arm fatigue in February. Evan Roberts was angry with the Mets and cannot say the word, ‘compartmentalize’. Rick Pitino finally apologized for calling out his players over the weekend.

    Hour 2

Rob Saleh seems to have no control over his players on social media. Sauce Gardner is now calling himself, ‘LaSauce’, and is playing GM. He is posting who he would be signing to the Jets if he were the GM. Kevin Clancy tells us he’s not a big uniform guy and doesn’t remember player numbers even the ones he’s watched forever. We also talked about Gio's love of 1,000 lb Sisters. They also both love Love Is Blind. C-Lo returns for an update but first we talked about needing a colostomy bag. Gio thinks Kevin Ollie looks like an evil magician because of the mustache and thin face. Rick Pitino finally apologized for attacking his players and saying they can’t move. Justin Fields explained why he unfollowed the Bears on Instagram. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about Shane Gillis hosting SNL even though they fired him before he started working there.

    Hour 3

Craig Carton reported that the thing going on with the Eagles locker room would fracture any relationship. Adam Schefter was on the radio in Philadelphia and pretty much said this is tabloid journalism. Kevin Clancy just remembered he forgot to tell his Mom he was hosting with Gio today. He also didn’t tell her to turn the Mets game on when Johan Santana was throwing a no hitter. They also talked about what it’s like when you first have children and how it changes your life. There should be some sort of test to be able to have children. A caller said he was playing craps in a casino in Florida and Eli Manning was right next to him at the next table. We also talked about Dana White betting an insane amount of money at the tables. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with Knicks injuries as we come out of the All Star break. Charles Barkley said of Kevin Durant, ‘Kevin’s a follower, he’s not a leader’. KD responded saying these guys on tv need to fill segments with negativity. Rick Pitino finally apologized for his comments over the weekend where he went after his players. We talked about Eddie going to sleep at 5pm during the week. Nick Saban is out of coaching but he doesn’t want to stay home and just watch Netflix. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about Dave Portnoy and his newly adopted dog, ‘Miss Peaches’. We cringed at his ‘Miss Peaches’ voices that he uses to talk to her.

    Hour 4

Scottie Pippen, Luc Longley, and Horace Grant are going on tour to dispute some of the things presented in The Last Dance documentary. They are calling it ‘The No Bull’ Tour. We talked about friction when you’re on a team like the Bulls experienced. It happened at Barstool and it has happened at WFAN over the years. Gio wonders who best stood up to Dave Portnoy over the years. Gio wonders if Portnoy likes to be challenged. C-Lo returns for his final update of the day and starts with the arm fatigue of Kodai Senga. And yes, arm fatigue in February. The Moment of The Day includes an older caller who wanted to be quizzed on Brooklyn Dodgers uniform numbers. In the final segment of the show, we get breaking news that David Stearns is going to address the media to talk about the Kodai Senga arm fatigue. That sounds like it’s terrible news.

The Platform Podcast E010 | Setting The Bar For Nashville Nightlife, Winging It, Creative Marketing

The Platform Podcast E010 | Setting The Bar For Nashville Nightlife, Winging It, Creative Marketing
On episode ten of The Platform Podcast, I sit down with the GM of the brand new Barstool Nashville, Iga! She packed up and moved to Nashville just a few years ago without ever being to the city once or seeing what it had to offer. It's safe to say, she's doing more than alright now. Previously working with Tao Group in New York, she transitioned into a role at Nashville's Twelve Thirty Club and even worked a 9-5 before taking a position to open Barstool just a few months ago on June 23rd, 2023. Opening a bar with ZERO staff training. How not only trusting your staff, but having the trust from ownership made everything easy. Being a female in the nightlife industry with a management role isn't easy and Iga speaks on her experience so far and how she strives to be better to prove people wrong. Since opening, they've been able to keep the party going even while being off of Broadway. We talk about negative comments, the marketing that goes into the bar and the thought process behind having bands, DJs and throwing events that the city has never seen. Creative marketing brings a unique twist to nightlife that helps her staff be more involved while also giving them a major boost when promoting on social media.
