During the summer, when kids want to have fun and play outside, families can encourage games and activities that strengthen their children's math skills and knowledge of science. David Hubalik, Head of School at BASIS San Antonio—Jack Lewis Jr. Campus, joins us to share tips based on his experiences as a parent and educator.

Students at BASIS Charter Schools do senior projects that stretch their skills and give them a taste of what they might do in higher education and in their careers. To help parents who are thinking about enrolling their children at BASIS get a preview of what their students might be doing in the future, we asked Anaya Patel, a current student at BASIS San Antonio—Shavano Campus, as well as recent graduate Evan Stone, to share with us about their senior projects. Elly Zimmer, Director of Curriculum Research and Development for the BASIS Charter School Curriculum Company, will also join us to talk about the importance of senior projects to the BASIS Charter Schools academic program.

It's winter in San Antonio, and it may not be snowing outside, but we can make it "snow" inside! This weekend, do some kitchen chemistry with your kids, and have fun while learning science concepts. Audrey Hagopian, Regional Director of Primary Schools for BASIS.ed, joins us to demonstrate making a snowstorm in a bottle, and suggest ways to extend the learning for kids of different ages, like they do at BASIS Charter Schools.

BASIS San Antonio Northeast is the newest BASIS Charter Schools campus in San Antonio. Chris Ferguson, Head of School, and Stacey Schouten, Subject Expert Teacher, join us to talk about the co-teaching model at BASIS San Antonio Northeast, and how the school provides accelerated early learning with a liberal arts curriculum. BASIS San Antonio Northeast is taking applications at enrollbasis.com for grades K–5 for the current school year and grades K–7 for 2021-22; open enrollment continues through December 15, 2020.
