Episode 127- The Living Symphony & AhmadCyde (feat. Surebert)

Whew! We cover a bunch of hip hop topics with our guest Mechanic, Surebert on this one! Lots of hip hop album & movie talk, a new podcast by a Mechanic & his daughter may have dissed us, & Cook's trip to MAGA land! Also, Surebert says CookBook has some wack lines from his early career! LOL! Plus, would it be an episode if E. Green the Gas Man didn't throw in a heavy molotov cocktail-level question that triggers KING & Nesto?

Thanks as always to the contributors! We REALLY appreciate you! We ask for $1 per episode. But you can give as much or as little as you like...even nothing! We'll still keep droppin that fire content that you love! Click here to contribute today!

David Garfit - BeatStreet Podcast - Episode 007

David Garfit - BeatStreet Podcast - Episode 007
For episode number 7, we welcome the founder of the brilliant vinyl-only Pathway Traxx and BeatStreets very own James Bond - David Garfit. Having being the last member to join the BeatStreet ranks, Dave's now an integral part of the machine, with his selection always causing more than a stir at our parties. Aside from being a skilled and experienced DJ, he's an accomplished producer, having released through labels such as Akbal Music, Houseworx, Sex Panda White, Love Not Money & more. To accompany the 78 minutes of quality deep techno and house vibes that he put together in preparation for our last party, here's a few words from the man himself... "It's been well over a year since I last did a mix, so here is a quick mix I threw together to get you in the mood for our next instalment of BeatStreet. Recorded in one take, this is a collection of some of my favourite tracks at the minute. Lots of new wax and some tracks you might recognise from my recent sets at our old beloved home, The Garage!!! RIP! Enjoy! x"

    Yamen & Eda - BeatStreet Podcast - 006

    Yamen & Eda - BeatStreet Podcast - 006
So, it's been a little while, but here's the latest episode in our podcast series. Episode 6 comes courtesy of French duo and our guests at this months party; Yamen & Eda. These guys caught our attention with their take on the techno laden deep house sound which has become synonymous with BeatStreet parties. With releases on great underground labels such as Safari Numerique and Pins & Needles, these guys are attracting attention from the right places, for the right reasons. It's the strength of these releases that caught the ears of Adam Shelton and a previous guest of ours; Subb-an, owners of the mighty One Records. We're pretty sure this is an insight into what the guys have planned for us in just under two weeks at The Garage! https://www.facebook.com/events/557078987675193/?fref=ts

    Chris Cue - BeatStreet Podcast - 005

    Chris Cue - BeatStreet Podcast - 005
For the 5th instalment of the BeatStreet podcast we have one of Tough Luck Records head-honchos; Chris Cue. This lad's been very busy over the last few years. Aside from honing his now renowned DJ & production skills, Chris was on with Sample; a house & techno nights that graced the clubs of Newcastle bringing in some of the Worlds top DJ's, such as Art Department & The Martinez Brothers. Whilst promoting and running the night as well as doing the business for brands all over the UK, Chris' slick production skills landed him releases on BeatStreet certified labels such as Kaluki Musik & Deep Tech Records. Releases via these labels opened the door for Chris to earn sets with brands such as Cocoon, Minus & Desolat - and not too long back he was snapped up by the "Two Point Zero" Family alongside the likes of Jody Wisternof and Martin Eyerer. In more recent times, he's fired up Tough Luck Records alongside Lower East's Rebel and his Save The Pony partner-in-crime, Twon, a label specialising in underground techno (I believe there's a few cheeky unreleased cuts from them up in this B.) Over the next few months Chris has dates lined up in all over Europe and this wicked podcast, focusing on stripped back, deep techno, one of the many sounds we heavily endorse at BeatStreet, explains exactly why he's such hot property. Enjoy, BeatStreet x

Vinyl Vybz with DJ HasH ft. special guest Brown Audio

Vinyl Vybz with DJ HasH ft. special guest Brown Audio
On this edition of Vinyl Vybz with DJ HasH I had the honor and pleasure of choppin’ it up with Brown Audio (of The BeatStreet Club) consisting of brothers Sean Ace (@Sean_Ace) & Cya (@im_Cya) who’ve been putting in work for years in the Chicago Hip Hop scene. Not only did I interview them but I showcased a timeline of their DOPE brand of Hip Hop ranging from their older material (which is timeless in my opinion) leading up to their current music that can mostly be found on http://brownaudio.bandcamp.com/ , http://cyamusic.bandcamp.com/ , http://sean-ace.bandcamp.com/ , & http://dame-o.bandcamp.com/ respectively.

I sprinkled in some more music as well including a few oldies but goodies from Common Sense and new music from my Chicago brethren The Primeridian (prod. by Tall Black Guy), Vice Verse and Omen along with a few other BANGAS from outside of my hometown.

Thank you for your support and Happy New Years (2012)!

    Bless

DJ HasH aka Da Corned Beef Kid (of The Temporary Residents) *London / Chicago*
