Guest speaker Pastor Doug Bursch preaches from Philippians 1 and asks the church if we are "all in" for Christ.

As long as we operate in the flesh, we will never obtain perfection. Even though we cannot attain it, we should strive for perfection. Perfection can be defined as heaven. Used as a verb, perfecting is the process of moving toward perfection. All that we do here on earth is a process of moving toward perfection. Maturing involves dealing with problems and issues in life and learning to deal with them. Often times these problems and issues can be uncomfortable. When you grow it is uncomfortable. Bro. Stevison tells us that the same is true in the spirit. In order to grow spirituality we must endure some trials and issues. It is how deal with these issues that determine if we grow spiritually. If we are to grow spiritually, it will be because we want to. On judgment day it will be about how well we allowed the process of perfecting to work in our life. It takes the process of perfecting in order to attain perfection. Like the clay on the potters wheel, our life will be determined by how pliable we are in the potter’s hand. Bro. Stevison offers Psalm 27 as a blueprint for the perfect Christian. In it he sees 5 points: • Dependency on God (verses 1-3) • Desire for God (verses 4-6) • Divine Assistance (verses 7-10) • Direction from God (verses 11-13) • Delight in God (verse 14)
