    Weird Science: Prof. Chris French

    Weird Science: Prof. Chris French

In the latest episode of "The Point of U," we delved into the mysterious realm of the paranormal with a leading expert in anomalistic psychology, Professor Chris French from the University of Goldsmiths. Our conversation was a fascinating exploration of the scientific approach to understanding the seemingly inexplicable.

Prof. French, renowned for his groundbreaking work in the field, shared insights from his extensive investigations into paranormal phenomena. From ghostly apparitions to UFO sightings, he discussed the psychological factors that often underlie these experiences and the cultural influences that shape our perceptions of the supernatural.

One of the highlights of our conversation was a deep dive into Prof. French's latest book, "The Science of Weird Shit!" The title alone captures the essence of our discussion as we dissected various cases and explored the scientific methodologies applied to demystify the bizarre and unexplained.

Listeners gained valuable perspectives on how the mind can play tricks, leading individuals to interpret ordinary events as paranormal. Prof. French also shed light on the challenges of conducting scientific research in a field where belief systems and emotions often run high.

Throughout the episode, we touched on some of Prof. French's most intriguing cases, including his work with individuals who claim to have experienced alien abductions, haunting encounters and reincarnation. The conversation provided a balanced view, encouraging critical thinking while respecting the diverse experiences people bring to the table.

As "The Point of U" continues to explore the personal stories that shape our understanding of the world, this episode with Prof. Chris French adds a unique dimension, challenging us to confront the mysteries that linger at the intersection of science and the unexplained. #026: How to Change our Limiting Beliefs and the Stories we are telling Ourselves

I sat down with Nat Bristowe @nat_bristowe_coaching to talk all things mindset and empowerment.

In this episode we are talking about Nat’s story. We are talking about her life in London, being diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, how she overcame it and why she made the move to Sydney.

We are talking about her journey into becoming a life coach focusing on mindset and empowerment tools and how she is supporting her clients to achieve anything they put their mind to.

We are diving deep into NLP, Timeline Therapy, Hypnotherapy and are unpacking how Nat works with these modalities in order to support people along their journeys.

We are talking about limiting beliefs, the stories we are telling ourselves, the critical faculty and secondary gain and we are so good at telling ourselves stories in order to hold us back.

So many of these stories run on a subconscious level and they manifest our reality, so catching that and changing our language can make a huge difference in reaching our goals. We are exploring how we use language to make those changes and ask questions in order to gain awareness.

Nat is the most energetic, positive person and it is truly beautiful to witness her passion in how she is supporting her community of clients to live a truly fulfilling life and know that anything is possible - if you put your mind to it.

I really hope that this conversation will inspire you to re-think your language, your belief systems and the stories you are telling yourself and be empowered to make the changes in your life that you so deeply desire.
