    The Headliner 6.7.13

    The Headliner 6.7.13
All The News That Rocks! This week, host Kyle Chrise breaks down the war of words between Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora. Remember when these guys were the Rock N Roll Mafia? Now, they're more like the Real Housewives of NJ! We also have a solution to settle the STP legal battles. And was Rolling Stone magazine justified in giving the new John Fogerty album a 5-star rating? We'll break it down track by track.

    Linkin Park - Blackout

    Linkin Park - Blackout
Blackout has classic LP sound: Epic Chester screams, pure aggression and angst layered against a hip-hop beat with vinyl scratching. That is until we reach the bridge of the song when the sound is evolved into an ambient piano of Mike singing. Mike's singing is really good and very fitting. Both voices work as polars we have Chester's aggressive, angst driven wild voice versus Mike's more calming voice. Chester then joins in with a more calm singing tone also. This is quite different for Linkin Park and shows growth. The LP band members are getting maturer now,and they dont have the same problems they had 10 to 15 years ago. Their recent albums are reflecting this change. However, we seem to get the best of both in "A Thousand Suns." "Blackout" shows us some life lessons learned, and that you can "slow it down sometimes," or at least when it gets too out of control.
