Author Bio:
Shelley is a wife, mother, dog lover, special education teacher, speaker, and education consultant. She believes that while we each know who we are today, we don’t know who we will be tomorrow. The example she uses to shed light on this is the caterpillar turning into the butterfly. Shelley believes in promoting acceptance, inclusion, and having no limits when it comes to people with special needs and their potential. Shelley was a special educator for over two decades and helped her students accomplish more than doctors, teachers, peers, and family members thought those students ever would. She believes in making the world better for all, one IEP at a time.

Author Interview with Erin Easton

Author Bio:
My name is Erin Easton. I had a long journey from fear to living from the heart and I continue to walk it every day. Fear kept me from being my true self for a long time. I had a father who was emotionally abusive and a brother who was an addict from age 15 on. For my own well-being I developed the ability to people please which kept my family from directing their anger towards me, but in the process I lost myself. My only way to let out the frustration and emotion was to push myself really hard in sports. I was a competitive mountain biker on the USA cycling team through high school and turned my emotional pain into physical pain. I had a lot of really bad crashes that finally led to a back injury that gave me nerve damage down my left leg. I could barely walk, couldn't lean forward at all, and sitting in a chair was excruciating. The thought that I would never be able to do my sports again left me alone to face all of my fears and emotions without the one vice that kept me sane. I had also broken away from my family through the process because they were toxic to my well-being but it left me feeling completely alone and unsupported. I sunk into a deep depression and spent a lot of time in anger. I knew I needed to make a big change to pull myself out of it. So I moved to Geneva Switzerland to do my masters. It was there that I began to study meditation and mindfulness.

Author Interview with Erika K. Wolf

Author Bio:
I faced a life-altering diagnosis of HER2+ stage III breast cancer at the age of 43. Throughout my 18-month treatment—chemotherapy, mastectomy, radiation, and reconstruction—I realized the power of perception and sought complementary therapies to enhance my well-being. Embracing cancer as a transformative experience, I cultivated gratitude in profound life lessons. I discovered a gap in the oncology community's support for holistic healing, so, fueled by my passion to help others facing similar challenges, I now strive to share my journey and the efficacy of complementary therapies, especially with physicians and caregivers. Through my resilience and commitment I hope to inspire change in mainstream oncology care. By advocating for the integration of holistic approaches, I aim to empower countless individuals facing similar challenges, fostering a new path to healing and recovery. Now with the release of my memoir: Cancer & Other Things I’m Grateful For, I am sharing my personal journey with people around the world in the hopes of inspiring them when dealing with health challenges for themselves or loved ones.

Peter Hogenkamp is a practicing physician, public speaker and author of medical fiction and thrillers living in Rutland, Vermont. Author Interview with Jeff Berney

About The Author:
Jeff Berney is an award-winning author who has lived in the Kansas City area since high school. He graduated from the University of Missouri with degrees in advertising and marketing and for the last 25 years has worked his way up through local ad agencies.

Although he counts himself lucky enough to make a living with his creative writing, several years ago he decided it was time to finally write that novel.

So he did. And now he’s written another one. Which is a feat in itself considering he and his wife still have four of their seven kids living (rather noisily) in their house. Not to mention their three doodles, three cats, and the occasional fish or rabbit.

Storm Young is a graduate of American Military University. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies and is now working on her Master's Degree. She also received the Ann Kathryn Flagg artist award in 2022 and was a finalist for best author in West Virginia that year as well.

About the Author
I’ve been a book nerd since the 7th grade. I’ve read many hundreds of books and dream of one day having enough shelf space to display them all (can you relate?!). I am addicted to everything bookish and love my job. I have a B.A. in Literature and Communications with minors in film and business.

When I’m not producing books, cheering on our street teams and creating book launch marketing plans… I’m probably opining about book adaptations (especially the bad, disappointing ones!) over at books4movies.com.

About the Author:
Welcome! I'm glad you're here. A little bit about me - I'm a published author, realtor, and speaker. My personal journey has been a mix of challenges, growth, and valuable lessons that have shaped my perspective on achieving a balanced and fulfilling life.

Life is busy for all of us, and time management can be a struggle when our careers take center stage, causing relationships, health, and happiness to suffer. When we reach this point, it's time to make a change.

I would love to share the strategies and tools I've discovered to transform my life. I learned the hard way that time is our most precious asset and should be treated as such. Shifting your mindset can also play a significant role in creating the life you desire.

My mission is to guide others in living a vibrant and rewarding life, free from the constraints of overworking and settling for less than they desire. I believe that life is short, and time is our most valuable resource. It is indeed possible to have a flourishing career and a life that you love. By managing your time effectively, acquiring new skills, and embracing a mindset of gratitude and manifestation, you can create an extraordinary life that you can be proud of.

Author Interview with Mark Steven Porro

About the Author
“This author weaves his stories together, employing a wickedly humorous skill not unlike that of David Sedaris and Augusten Burroughs”

Mark Steven Porro, a New Jersey native (Exit 163), holds an Industrial Design degree from The Ohio State University. After years of agency work, his love of acting led him to Hollywood, where he appeared in dozens of television, film, and theatre productions. Mark also spent his twenty-eight years in Hollywood, entrepreneuring. He started five non-profit companies. But hold the applause, none were intended to be. He now lives in the South of France. But hold your pity. He of sound mind and body chose to suffer in the heart of wine country where the locals insist his French isn’t so bad—at least that’s what he thinks they’re saying.

Mark is an award-winning designer, writer, and director. He has written lots of jokes, several screenplays, and one award-winning short film. A Cup of Tea on the Commode—a sad, sweet, and funny memoir—chronicles his adventures of filling his mother’s last years with love, laughter, and joy. Though not always successful, he came pretty damn close. And he survived to tell the tale.
