De figuren uit de klassieker uit 1994 zien er nu uit alsof ze echt in de Afrikaanse serengeti zouden kunnen rondlopen, en hebben stemmen van mensen die nu beroemd zijn. Maakt dat een goede film?

Ja, vindt Angela Verkuijlen. Ze is een van de aanstichters van de Cultuur Academy, een initiatief om Nijmeegse cultuurmakers op weg te helpen, en was tot eind 2017 nog de Nachtburgemeester van Nijmegen. Ook maakt ze theater en richtte ze ooit mede de Plees to Be op. En ze houdt van The Lion King, in welke versie dan ook.
