How Rich Is 'Hiring Rhianna For Your Pre-Wedding' Rich?

Want Rhianna to play your next family affair? No problem! It’ll set you back you roughy eight million dollars.

Why Adele’s Instagram Live Ended With A Frantic Phone Call

Why Adele’s Instagram Live Ended With A Frantic Phone Call

    On the show today…

Brooklyn Beckham was born into a rich family with famous parents and unlimited opportunities and yet...things are just not going well for the poor kid. From a truly cursed photography project to a questionable new video, we need to start asking questions about Brooklyn Beckham.

And last year Jesy Nelson sent shock waves through the pop world when she walked away from Little Mix. After 10 months out of the spotlight, she’s now back with a solo project, but it comes with some pretty problematic overtones, causing the rest of Little Mix to unfollow her.

Plus, Adele has gone rogue on Instagram live, answering wild fan questions and sharing some funny insights into her life. It was all going well until she started playing her new music, prompting a frantic phone call.

Blackfishing, Tanning vs Skin Bleaching, Appropriation & Is Prison Rehab Or Punishment?

Welcome back! We have a lot to talk about in today’s episode. There are so many weights that need to be lifted off our chests this week along with more listener questions! Iggy Azalea's new video sparked a conversation about blackfishing. Do people darken their skin to easily hop genres? Where do we draw the line between appropriation and appreciation?  Should the money Bill Cosby donated to charity be returned? We also discuss whether prison is meant for punishment or rehabilitation. When a person has paid their debt to society should they be absolved in the public eye? We get deep on this one guys. Let us know what you think, talk back to the show!

What is “Blackfishing"? How has social media made this phenomenon skyrocket?

“Blackfishing” is where non-Black influencers and celebrities mimic the features of Black women and take on Black aesthetics. Carol sat down with Rumneek to discuss what she learned about Blackfishing.

#011: Blackfishing, Taking Your Man’s Last Name, Renting Clothes & Yay Or Nay To PDA

The ladies discuss whether celebrities and influencers accused of “Blackfishing” (using makeup, Photoshop or cosmetic surgery to appear of Black or mixed race heritage) are appreciating or appropriating Black features, if taking your husband’s last name on marriage is a sweet gesture of unity or an outdated misogynistic tradition, whether they would ever use clothing rental services and if these services are the solution to fast fashion’s sustainability issues or simply encouraging women to stunt with fashion they can’t afford, and their very varied attitudes and experiences when it comes to public displays of affection (PDA).
