Cory sat down with Alan Cassidy from legendary death metal band The Black Dahlia Murder while they were in Toronto on the Verminous Remnant tour. This was a very fun conversation and the guys discuss the new beginnings of the band with the line up changes and how supportive their fans have been since the passing of vocalist Trevor Strnad and what the future holds for the band, as well as a tone of nerdy drum stuff like pedal setting, stage outfits, and the pros and cons of endorsements.

The Xebellian Triangle is a symphonic death metal band from Houston, TX melding many influences of technical and melodic death metal, accompanied by full orchestral and electronic arrangements. Technical but melodic riffs, blast beats, extreme vocals, strong and full string arrangements, apocalyptic choirs, blaring brass, booming percussion, and splashes of synths. The band is currently comprised of Aron Hetsko (Drums), Ivy Lance (Guitar/Vocals/Arrangements), and Hakeem De Hoyos (Bass).

Cory sat down with Kublai Khan drummer Isaac Lamb so discuss their new EP ' LOWEST FORM OF ANIMAL ' , Out April 1st 2022 on Rise Records. Along with talking about the EP the guys get into the conception of Kublai Khan and how Isaac and Matt Honeycutt ( vocalist ) originally met and became the best of friends right away. The guys also reminisce about Heavy MTL and outdoor music festivals as well as the MySpace days and the "PRE smart phone" era.

The Worst Case Scenario is a 5-piece death-metal/deathcore band from Lubbock, Texas.  They released their last album fall of 2020 and are venturing out on their first tour in summer 2021.  Ryan had a chance to catch them before they hit the road.  

TWCS is a new find for the podcast but may not be to you.  If you’re into blast beats, then you have found the right band.  Formed in 2016, they went through a couple ups and downs and almost hung it up.  But 2018, they added some new members and got back on the grind. 

COIVD has impacted everyone differently.  For TWCS, they had their latest album written in late 2019/early 2020 and had to hit the brakes on shows and spreading the word about their band.  Now that shows have returned to a venue near you, they are hitting the road to show you what they have been cooking up.

TWCS is touring on their latest album “Drowning in Insanity”.  Todays featured song is "Throne of Decay"
