    ‘Elf’: Shoving Beers in Leon

    ‘Elf’: Shoving Beers in Leon

The guys ring in the Christmas season with one of the “newer” Christmas classics. They start with the performance of Will Ferrell and how the supporting roles made it a perfect fit. They discuss what could have been with Chevy Chase, Joe’s Howard Stern fandom while Mike attempts to fill out Joe’s perfect movie. The guys close with a list of the top 3, 4 or 5 depictions of the North Pole in film!

Fifty Years of Funny w/ James Burrows & Debra Messing

Fifty Years of Funny w/ James Burrows & Debra Messing

Legendary sitcom director James Burrows shares his decades of memories from behind the camera of some of the most iconic shows ever on TV from The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Cheers to Friends and Will & Grace. Originally from the theatre world, he recognized early on that sitcoms are plays with cameras and you can’t teach comedy or chemistry. Actress Debra Messing chimes in to share what makes him so brilliant, and they both dish on the buffet of guest stars that played with them on Will & Grace - including one Ali Wentworth who got down and dirty as Dr. Superstein, Grace’s gynecologist, in 2019.

If you have questions or guest suggestions, Ali would love to hear from you. Call or text her at (323) 364-6356. Or email go-ask-ali-podcast-at-gmail.com. (No dashes)

**Go Ask Ali has been nominated for a Webby Award for Best Interview/Talk Show Episode! Please vote for her and the whole team at https://bit.ly/415e8uN by April 20, 2023!

Which is the most romantic of the Batman films? Whose takes aren’t too hot, aren’t too cold, but are just right? And what’s the new behind the scenes goss in the trades? We dish about these questions and more as we watch Season 6, Episode 16 of Family Matters.

Alex Diamond, David Kenny, and John McDaniel heard that the long-running network sitcom Family Matters ends with side character Steve Urkel going to space. And the best way to figure out how that happened - obviously - is to watch the last episode first and make our way backwards through nearly ten years of television.
