Top Strategies When Leading a Book Launch Team with Karen Sargent

Top Strategies When Leading a Book Launch Team with Karen Sargent

Planning your book launch? Listen in to hear what you should or shouldn’t do when leading a book launch.

Welcome to Your Best Writing Life, an extension of the Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference held in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mts of NC. I’m your host Linda Goldfarb. Each week I bring tips and strategies from writing and publishing industry experts to help you excel in your craft. I’m so glad you’re listening in. During this episode, you’ll learn The Do’s and Don’ts of Leading a Book Launch Team.

My industry expert is Karen Sargent. After the launch of her debut novel, Karen discovered how overwhelming launching a book can be and never passed an opportunity to join a launch team to support her fellow authors. Soon authors began asking her to lead their teams. When a publisher advised her to start a book launch side hustle, she did. Since 2019, Karen has helped Christian authors of all sizes—from indie to authors with big publishers—launch their books. A retired educator, Karen gets her fix by teaching writing workshops and coaching aspiring authors.

    We cover the following questions:
When it comes to launching a book, what are some common mistakes authors make?
What are some best practices authors can implement to increase their launch team's success?

New Rapid Release Strategy for WIDE Authors

New Rapid Release Strategy for WIDE Authors
For most authors, learning to master Amazon as a publishing platform first before adding anything else into the mix makes the most sense. But what if you're not a fan of Amazon? Or if you want to be a wide author from the get-go? Well... In today's episode, I'm laying out a new strategy for utilizing rapid releasing for authors who want to be WIDE. It's one that I plan to use when I launch a new series in 2022, but it's one you might want to start implementing today. Have a listen!
