337.Breaking Free: Healing Generational Trauma for Empowerment

Welcome back to "The Real Undressed" – the place where we elevate the conversation around sex, spirituality, and, of course, on our Tuesday episodes, we’re doing it while sipping on a bit of tequila. I’m your host, Deborah Kagan, mojo recovery specialist, here to guide you on a journey of true empowerment and awakening.

As we step into the first week of International Women's Month, a time when we celebrate the achievements and acknowledge the struggles of women across the globe, our conversation today takes on a poignant and powerful theme: breaking the cycle of generational trauma, particularly within our matriarchal lineages.

Beauty in the Shitshow - 6

Beauty in the Shitshow - 6

Today we talk about childhood stories, and why you need to share parts of your childhood with your significant other. This is important so they can understand where you have come from and why you are the way you are.  These stories tie together not just the two of you, but also the other important family members in your lives. Often during childhood, children can experience trauma. This trauma can effect relationships through adulthood. We talk about the ACES test, (americanspcc.org) and how your score can effect your health and life as an adult. We talk about breaking the chain of abuse, and how as an adult you and only you determine your future. Relationships can be challenging, but you can lessen the challenge by having these important conversations while dating. Communication is key. We think as we touch on these subjects you may have children come to your mind that you may be concerned about. If you see something, say something. If you are concerned about someone, please call 1 (800) 4-A-CHILD. If you hear something on this episode that you feel could help another, please SHARE. Again, please SUBSCRIBE, RATE & REVIEW. Thank you for listening, we love you all.
